This is an awesome product to provide peace of mind. I love that I can check and make sure everything is okay at home while I'm at work.

Ability to control and turnoff the alarm if it went off because of a burnt toast is great. Path light comes in handy but I would love to set it at max brightness. And that could drain the battery.

This device gives me an incredible piece of mind. My wife is handicapped and not mobile, this device gives me a sense of security while I'm not home.

Cannot really speak to its smoke detecting ability since it has not had the opportunity, but it looks nice. Also the nightlight feature is awesome.

Not a lot of competition for it in the smart smoke detector market, but I’m convinced it’s the best available.

I truly enjoy my nest products. They might be a little pricey but you get what you pay for, quality and functionality!

These are wonderful. We have 2 and plan to buy at least 2 more. They notify you by sound, voice and phone if there is a issue.

I purchased this because I'm having baby soon and work a lot at night. Have more piece of mind knowing it will alert me if there is a problem.

This was very easy to set up. I like the light up feature. Now I don’t have to turn on the hall light in the middle of the night.

It was a no brained. I needed another Next Protect and I wasn’t waiting on my kids to finally get it. A free Google Home mini !!

Despite being kept up with properly and not misusing the device, my Nest Protect has been malfunctioning and caused a fire department response. When the fire department came out they informed me that the reason for the alarm was due to a malfunction on the unit, and told me to try to return it due to the device issue. They specified the malfunction is causing the device to create false alarms. Unfortunately since it's been 5.5 months since I purchased this I believe it is outside of the return policy date.

having the nest protect devices in my house and my mother-in-law's helps us be confident that everyone is safe from fire and CO2 issues.

I don't know how I lived without this product. I have it automated to cool more or less at different times of the day.
