I have a ring system installed and also look to get the nest thermostat. However, it’s suppose to work with ring (which it doesn’t) and it won’t allow me to install without the nest thermostat hooked up in my home. Nowhere on the box, or online does it say you need one to make this work. I may be bringing it back. Very upsetting since ring doesn’t have a smoke/ carbon detector and only a sensor for one.
