This Google Nest Protect Smart Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarm was easy to set up, and has nice app integration. Hopefully I won't ever need it, but it's nice to know it's there.

Set up was straight forward. Testing is easy and it can be controlled with your smartphone. The night light is a neat feature that I found more useful than I initially thought I would. I'm very pleased with this product.

This is giving me great piece of mind. I love the fact it is a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. I love the sleek look and the way I can monitor it on my phone. The night light is an added bonus.

I really like the functionality of the detectors. Simple installation and setup. Looking to purchase a couple more to install in my home.

I purchased four for my house. It was easy to set up and easy to integrate with the best thermostat and other detectors. I like that it talks and tells where trouble is located. The ability to silence via app is nice too.

Great product which monitors smoke and co2, is easy to setup and install, has a built in light which illuminates the surrounding area at night. A very worthwhile safety product for your home!

Nifty little product to have around. Looks very classy, hardly like a boring CO detector. Setup is a breeze, all parts are included. Being able to monitor the home in real-time through the app is a great benefit.

Easy to install, great piece of mind. I especially like the nightlight and the fact of you have a nest thermost it will shut off the furnace if it detects carbon monoxide.

Love this product, super easy to set up and mount. I love the build in night light system and gives off great lighting in dark rooms. I would highly recommend this product.

So far it is working great and doing what it is supposed to do. Plus it has a night light on if you like That, but you can turn off if you don’t .

I purchased our first Nest Smoke and carbon monoxide detector for the main floor of our home a year and a half ago and it just saved us from carbon monoxide poisoning this past week. Worked perfectly. Alerted us, shut down our furnace(with Nest thermostat), told us when the house was clear from the hazard and through the app even indicated what the carbon monoxide level peaked at. That said, I just purchased a second unit for the upstairs. Setup was easy and seamless. Well worth the money. Buy it! You won’t regret it! The piece of mind is priceless!!

The Nest Smoke/ Carbon Monoxide Detector is easy to install and easy to use. It runs a check monthly to make sure the batteries and speaker are working. It even sends you text messages so you know it is working!

Installation was easy. The screws worked great to screw it in and it connects great to the phone. The app is also great! It has a night light on which works very well in the hall and only turns on with movement.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Setup was quick and easy to add to the Nest app. I like all the features, especially the night light that comes on when motion is detected. I own two so far.

I've had the Nest Protect for about a month installed in the kitchen area. I can't really speak to the efficacy of the unit in performing its primary purpose... that is to say, I don't really know how good it is at detecting an actual fire (and hopefully will never have to find out). However, based on product reviews with fire test results that I had read online before purchasing, I felt confident enough in the unit's ability. I can say that I have thus far not experienced any nuisance alarms, which was one of my major concerns for a smoke detector in the kitchen. Additionally, I found the setup process to be incredibly easy. The path light feature is pretty cool as well.

The unit installed easily and paired without any problems with my Nest thermostat. I like that it tests it's self and lets me know that the unit is ok. No more 2 am beeps because the smoke alarm battery is low.

updated my smoke detectors. I had the conventional battery powered ones and thought that since I had the time and their useful life was ending I'd replace them. They went up on the ceiling super easy and the setup was a complete no brainer. I don't have any other NEST products so I had to set up an account but then I don't check up on them like I do door locks. But the linking of all four and connection to the NEST account was easy. They regularly check themselves. I hear them doing this. Feel good that this checks both carbon monoxide as well as smoke.

I replaced all of the smoke detectors in my house to the Nest smart smoke/carbon alarms. An aboslute breeze to install and sync to the nest hub/app. I also love how each detector can be personalized and if it detects smoke or carbon it will announce from which room. These also have amazing lighting features. Color coded lights allow you to know the battery health, then another really cool feature is the walk way lighting. They dimly light up once the detector detects motion and helps guide you through your home. My only disappointment and its not even a major thing (provides evidence that it works), is how senstive the smoke detection is. Frying food on my skillet or cast iron often makes my kitchen detector go off.

But if I do, it's there. Installation was a breeze, connectivity is a flash. I already had a Nest thermostat, and this continues the excellent design and ease of use of that product. It's spiffy looking, too.

Great product. Even easier to install than the wired one we bought. The automatic night light feature is especially nice.
