After doing a remodel on our kitchen, code required hard wired smoke detectors that all talk to each other and we needed 7 smoke detectors in the required locations. The Nest detectors are all connected to our wi-fi, all send a notification if there is a pending problem detected. There is also a notification sent to our smart phone no mater where we are. Satisfied the code requirements without expensive wiring through out the house.

I like my new smoke detector. After 2 months of looking I decided to go with the nest after all the reviews....and glad I did!

We're able to upgrade to Google-Nest throughout for our recently renovated home. It looks very clean and modern, which is what we're aiming for, It's been just a few months but I really appreciate that it lights up when I'm walking under it in the dark. No need to turn on the lights at night on my way to bed. I also have peace of mind that it's a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm all in one!

These are super cool. Very clean and modern. Even function as motion sensor since they glow at night with the slightest movement

After several months with my best alarms I love them. The few times we’ve set them off due to smoking cooking issues they are so nice and work as advertised. To get an audible warning before an alarm goes off is great. The ability to silence said alarm is better. The fact they connect to my Phillips hue lights to issue a warning by changing the color of the lighting is awesome. The fact the whole house and every alarm announces what’s going on and where is reassuring. Do yourself a favor and purchase these!

Best fire alarms for the money. Pricey, but worth it to know that you are protected.

These were easy to install and then link to our phones. I love having the option to cancel false alarms with my phone.

I like the self tests and the it gives you the results. I also like that it warns you before going off.

Looking forward to installing this new tech with my other nest products.

Nest protect works great and detects smoke really quickly (smoke from burnt food). I like the night light feature.

This is a great smoke detector and CO monitor that was very easy to install and add to my other Nest products.

once set up works fin. However, setting it up again if you have changed routers is a real pain. Found out only on line had the same set up issues I did. Had to perform 10 factory resets on this one and a second one I had purchased before it would accept my new router address.

Great product!! super easy to set up. Very user friendly and already saved my bacon when the wife burnt the bacon.

Have 4 of these...one was tricky.. returned and received a new one.

The wired version is best as this one eats through batteries as it is monitoring. But good alarm for sure.
