After another middle-of-the night "what's beeping?" exercise with old-style fire and CO alarms, I decided to invest in a few Nest Protects for my house. Super simple setup, easy installation, and cool mobile interface. Very satisfied.

Did a lot of research and waiting for the newer version since the old ones had lots of false alarms. Have a few of these and no false alarms for close to a year. Easy to install and set up.

Really easy to install app and setup. Whole setup and installing to ceiling took maybe 15 minutes. The night light is really nice and convenient. Great addition to my smart home.

easy to install and program. At top of steps on second floor and the light definitely helps, hopefully will not have to find out how well in heavy smoke. Beautiful design. Will be getting another.

Very pleased. 1 false alarm so far due to wife's cooking, but we were able to silence the Nest and teach it so that it won't accidentally go off again. Super easy to install and set up

Purchase as a replacement for a standard Smoke only detector. East setup, great features including the WIFI ability, and even a cool night light that lights just enough as you walk by...

I am very pleased with everything from looks to the high tech gadget. Simple to use and love the app specifically for it. Really is reliable have tested it and it does what it ssys!

I admit. I like products from Nest. I own a couple. But Best Buy had the best price and delivered it faster than any other place I had searched. Even Amazon could not beat the price or delivery speed. Best Buy has really got their Product, deliver and service model up to snuff. But the unit works great. I have had no issues with it at all and it was easy to install. It tests itself for me once a week and sends me a message on my Cell Phone letting me know it's good working order. That's piece of mind for sure.

While these are a bit pricey, they are totally worth it. Being able to turn it off with my phone when my kid burns toast is priceless.

Nest is excellent...and the smoke detectors are very easy to use. I like the Halo light that comes on at night when you walk by it.

So I bought three of these because my alarm company couldn’t really give me full confidence in their monitoring. I had to call which took a little while cause first guy was clueless. After long wait for higher qualified person she said delete app and reinstall. Which worked but really the first guy couldn’t tell me to do that? So I checked to make sure it worked burning paper cause I NEED to know it really works and it did! Yay! Path light is nice getting up to use bathroom at night. But most importantly I trust to get an alert if the detector goes off!

The installation was quick and easy. I have many nest products so I figured I would add this smoke/ carbon monoxide alarm since my smoke alarms are over 10 years old. This is the first time I had a alarm of this type that can send alerts to my phone. I do feel safer with it because a normal smoke alarm does not send notifications to my phone. I got two. one for upstairs and the other for downstairs. overall, I'm happy with the product. I got them on sale at Bestbuy for 100.00 each.

The Nest Protect is great by itself... or paired up with a Nest Thermostat. Amazing design, simple to use, easy to install. All maintained via an app on your phone.

The Nest Protect is an excellent product. I already had the Nest Thermostat and one of the Nest Cams. The Nest Protect is very easy to install and also very easy to get up and running. The integration with other Nest products and the Nest App on my Galaxy S7 works really well. The Nest Protect showed up right away after pairing it with my wireless network. I like that it is 2 products in one - a smoke alarm and a carbon monoxide detector. My standalone CO detector reached the end of its service life two days after installing my Nest Protect - great timing on my end. I would recommend this Nest product.

Easy to use. Night light is very useful. App also easy to set up.

Seems like a good product. It was fairly simple to set up. I already had a Nest thermostat, so I didn't need to start from scratch. I easily added the alarm to my Nest app. I turned off the motion-detected light feature to preserve battery power.

The setup was fairly straight forward and easy to connect up to Nest account. Not clear of advantages, though looks like it will turn of my heating system if the alarm is triggered and has a nightlight feature. Only negative is that after installing, only way to change network SSID is to go to the unit and physically reset, which is a pain if you have high ceilings.
