So far, I love these. Definitely a premium price, but having them all connected to each other and to my phone is huge, especially when it comes to keeping my family safe. Nice perk, the LED ring lights up your pathway in the dark.

Love my Nest protect! They were easy to set up and connect to the app. They provide peace of mind when we’re away from the house and ensure safety while in it. Also, they have a motion detector light which is an added bonus!

This alarm is sensitive enough to smell a curling iron left on too long 15 feet away. The control from an iPhone is great. One of the best perks is that it has a motion detector that turns a nightlight on briefly when you pass under it. I mainly purchased these because if I must have a smoke alarm in my house, it is going to look nice on my ceiling way out in the open.

I love the compatibility with my other google products and ease of use. Took about 10 minutes to install. I love knowing that regardless of where I may be, I can be notified on my cell phone if there are any issues related to smoke/CO2.

This smoke alarm was an easy setup and works great

This was super easy to setup and connect to my network. When/if the alarm goes off not only does it sound like a standard alarm but it alerts us on our phones. This unit exceeded my expectations and when another smoke detector of ours expired I bought a second one of these. They sync up together and both will alert if either one detects smoke or carbon monoxide.

If you use and nest products this is just another great addition. It serves its purpose. When linked to your thermostat you will have a status update emailed to you every month and it performs its own sound test to ensure its working properly. Overall easy install and maintenance free. The self testing and email notification are an added bonus.

Love these things easy setup and work great the night light is perfect.

We recently moved into a house that had a Nest thermostat installed and it was our first experience with it. We liked it so much that we ended up getting the Nest Protect to pair with it. Here are a few reasons why we like the Nest Protect: 1) You can replace the smoke detector in your kitchen with a Nest Protect and if you accidentally set it off with kitchen smoke, you can just press the big button to turn off the alarm. No need to pull the whole thing down and throw it outside or take out the battery like old school models. 2) If you are out of the house or traveling and the carbon monoxide alarm or fire alarm go off, the Nest Protect will alert you through the app. We never thought of it that way, but we like the reassurance that this offers. 3) Most publications suggest that carbon monoxide testers need to be cleaned with a vacuum and replaced every 10 years. It was time for us and we consider the Nest a serious all-in-one upgrade from our "dumb" smoke detectors and carbon monoxide testers.

Sort of pricey but, I suppose I’ll pay for the comfort of having modern smoke alarms. I bought these since my old school ones like to randomly go off when a spider gets into the alarm.

I purchased this detector because I wanted something which did both CO2 and Smoke, and also integrated with my cell phone to track it while not home. I think the Nest app is great and easy to understand. Setting this detector up was also a breeze. We are moving in to a new, bigger house soon so I plan on purchasing more for the rest of the house!

It's pretty great and easy to set up. I liked it so much I ended up replacing all my old non-smart detectors with this one.

I really like the functionality of the alarm, and how nicely it interfaces with my thermostats in the nest app, but be awair that it gives off a green light in a dark space when motion is detected. I'm not sure I like that in my bedroom at might. I can't see how to turn this off. I'm sure its safer, though I've never used a nightlight.

I love these smoke detectors so much that I have 3 in my home, and I put 9 in my parents' home. Each one will literally announce in advance that they are going to sound. I have't had any false alarms and I love how it integrates with the Nest system (I have several Nest cams throughout the house as well).

This product first and foremost is for the purpose of safety. There are several smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors on the market. Why choose this one you ask! I can only say that I purchased it for its intended purpose. It is a 2 in 1 unit so saves space. The other reason is that it can send an alert to a your phone. I think it is very important to know if the home is filled with carbon monoxide prior to entering. There are no visible signs to make you aware. Also, if kids get home before the working parents do, they can be notified by you or via notification not to enter. This device is for peace of mind and hopefully never has to be tested.

I kept spending $30-50 replacing smoke alarms that are always faulty or go off for no reason. Never understood why anyone would spend $150 on a smoke alarm. Then I got one. Totally worth it. Setup is a breeze. It's synced with my thermostat and camera. Never have to worry about why it's beeping ever again. Love this product and the company

I am so glad there is an alternative to the old fire alarms! This thing works perfectly! Easy to silence if you burn something in the kitchen!

it's an expensive, but fantastic smoke alarm. creates fewer false-alarms from normal cooking in the kitchen, and the fact that you can control it from your phone makes all the difference... (be careful to get the right model for your home: battery vs hard-wired).
