Best monitor ever. Easy to set up. Love the night light

I bought 5 of these to fill in missing gaps in my house. Set them all up at once so was able to have them talk to each other and copy all the settings/passwords needed to finalize set up. My only complaint is that since the unit is square you have to be careful when mounting the unit. If you aren't paying attention it ands up crooked.

This unit is very loud, the nightlight feature is nice for when the kids wake up in the middle of the night so they can see, while it's not that bright it is enough light to not trip over things or fall down stairs. I also use a nest thermostat which this will tell it to shut off the furnace in the event that it detects dangerous carbon levels.

This is hands down, the BEST idea that someone has ever come up with! Instead of having the neighbors know when you burned the toast, you are able to control the setting and silence it with a push of a button; not having to rip the thing off the ceiling and having it still go off while outside. The calibration on the Nest App is really easy and simple!

Love nest. Not sure why, but everything just works. Ever since Google took it over though things have been a little flaky and sometimes don't work as desired

I for one welcome our new smoke alarm overlords. Seriously though it is pretty sweet. Using ifttt i have it set to turn on all my wemo lights if there is an issue. Although not a necessity, IoT devices are pretty cool. Lets just hope the despots dont figure out how to hack them. Wouldnt be any fun sitting in the dark with a non functional smoke alarm.

Nice upgrade from your typical, old-school CO2/smoke detector. I feel the price is just a tad over what it should cost the consumer. Overall, it looks good and the motion sensor night light is perfect. Definitely get the battery over the wired.

I bought 2 Nest Protects - 1 battery and 1 wire-in to replace the original alarm by the second-floor bedrooms. Battery alarm installed in basement. Installation of the IOS app went flawlessly. Did manual test on one and both alarms responded as expected. Got a health report from Nest on my phone after 30 days. Highly recommended.

We decided to buy this because we already had a nest thermostat and it wasn’t too bad of a price for what you get. Honestly the best thing about this is the way it’ll subtly lights up the room for movement in the dark. It’s not too bright to wake up anybody but just bright enough to see in the room late at night.

Nest co/smoke detectors are very easy to install and provides the security you are seeking for in home safety. I have had them for over 5 years, and am still utilizing them. If i ever had problems, customer support was very helpful at resolving problems.

I purchased this to replace the existing smoke and CO2 detectors in my kitchen, I really enjoyed the ease of set up and the app works great on my iPhone and iPad. The ability to turn off the alarm before it’s fully activated when you’re cooking is a great feature to avoid any annoying false alarms.

great smart smoke alarm. expensive, but you get total piece of mind - smoke, self testing, CO2, app connectivity. the "pathlight" nightlight is nice and feels like you get some value out of something you hope never has to go off

After my smoke alarm CO alarm went off while my daughter was home alone with no way to know what was wrong, I decided I wanted a smart unit that could tell me if it was fire or CO. It was very easy to setup. It does a monthly self check and lets me know what is going on via my phone while I'm at work. I would recommend.

Installed one Nest Protect over a year ago and liked it so much, I installed four more last month. Love the App. Batteries last a lot longer than the ones in my old smoke detectors.

Love these detectors, I have then throughout the house and they work great. Especially love being alerted to problems through smartphone app when I am not home, gives me peace of mind. The only negative is that they can't tell they left at high steam levels, so whenever the teenagers get out of their forever ling shower and open the bathroom door, the hallway unit sets off as a potential problem as the steam comes out of the bathroom. I wish their was a way for the product to learn that a certain behavior in a certain location is not a problem, but I guess it's always better to be in the safe side. Overall very happy with purchase.

I replaced my 7 year old smoke detectors with Protects and very happy. My home is not only protected from unexpected smoke and CO2 but also can be silenced remotely, shows us the pathway in the dark and tells us everything is ok when we turn the lights off. Great product, easy to set up, customer support is great...

I’ve had this smoke detector in my daughters room for a year or so. Wonderful product that’s easy to install and connect to WiFi. I already have a nest thermostat and integrated easily into my existing app and account. The self tests and alerts when batteries are low make me feel confident that we are protected.

Works well I believe. I havent yet used it because well we havent had to. But if we do ill post another review

I have many of these in a couple of houses. They work really well. The only caution I would mention is that when batteries get low, you need to replace them relatively quickly (within a week) otherwise the alarm will sound. Easy to attach to NEST account and easy to install.
