I have the nest thermostat and nest cameras, and it's cool how they all work together. If gas is sensed, it'll turn off my furnace. I like the built-in night light for the hallway detector. Works well.

I already have a Nest thermostat so adding these smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were a no-brainer. Very straight forward install. Those that fear technology can do it in my opinion.

I like this smoke detector/co detector. It looks more modern than the regular ones and i like the fact that they communicate with the app. It was a little of a pain to install it at first, because i had to reset my nest account, but at the end looks good.

The Nest Protect is one of the most expensive, but also one of the most comprehensive, of the smart smoke detectors we've tested. Not only does it pick up several types of fires, as well as carbon monoxide, but it also does the best job at alerting you of the danger. And, it works with a wide range of smart-home products. So, for example, you can set your Philips Hue lights to turn on automatically when the Nest Protect goes off.

Knowing you and your family are protected against fire and carbon monoxide at night makes me sleep better. The night light sensor is awesome when you are walking in the dark.

The nest is easy to install and energy efficient. The best feature is that I can control the nest from anywhere I may be. We also have the nest protect, which is easy to install and use.

I have a fire alarm hardwired into my kitchen ceiling. It goes off every time I make a steak in the oven. I also bought two of these Nest Protect Carbon monoxide/smoke alarms. One is in the front bedroom next to the kitchen, and the other is down the hall in the master bedroom. Now, I get warnings of smoke buildup in the kitchen when I am making something particularly culinary, but the hardwired regular detector stays mum. I like how sensitive these new alarms are, and that I can monitor them from afar.
