Installed two units in our great room & master bedroom. Alarm is loud like it shoukd be but what love is when you walk under them at night they light up and guide you thru the house.

Bought though when my old smoke detector died. A little expensive, but offers great peace of mind when away from the house. The nest app works well and setup was really easy.

Love that the detector has a built in hall light! It also warns us when its going to test itself!

It will do all the worrying for you. Just install, set up on your phone and let it go to work. Will constantly check itself for battery life and let you know when it needs to be changed.

Great detector that you can put anywhere when power isn’t available. Easy to install and connect to WiFi. Good feature that you can interact with your smartphone.

Google Nest products are very smart and real liable. I feel very safe in my home especially while I’m out. I know my pets will be safe as the app is amazing easy to use and since I have my phone with me I’m always in touch with anything that might arise, I highly recommend this product.

This is my third detector and would have to say that there is no other smart detector that I would recommend!! If in the market for a smart combo dector, buy this!

This Nest product was a breeze to install and link to the other Nest protector in our house. Using the Nest app make checking the alarms status and testing the operational status at anytime.

Tells you what it senses in plain language instead of just an alarm. The alarms are very loud, which is good. Install and setup was easy. Nest is best.

While as a unit I like the features and ease of use for these smoke detectors, I HAVE had 2 instances of a "false alarm" for smoke detected since installing this second battery operated unit. The units do link together so while that is a nice feature it makes false alarms worse. So far I would consider it a fluke, but if it occurs again I may lower my rating.

The product looks and works great, but for some reason adding any new nest product always fails when I have 5 GHz enabled on my WiFi. This is because Google expects you to have separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. To clarify this since Google will submit a generic rebuttal, of course I DO HAVE 2.4 enabled also and that is not the problem. The problem is that I must disable 5 GHz in order to setup any of the nest products that I use in my home (doorbell/cams/thermostats). After wasting a lot of time with useless error codes which are extremely vague and poorly documented, and starting over and over and over, I found the suggestion online and it worked. If they fixed that one thing or at least clearly documented this obvious issue, this would have definitely been a 5 star review!

Since I travel often, I bought this along with Nest Cam's to keep and eye and get alerts if anything is wrong while I am away. The Path lighting feature is pretty good too. Only recommendation would be to go with the 120v model instead of the battery powered if you have a Nest Thermostat so they can "speak" and relay information to each other. The battery model does not do this to conserve power.

I am not super techie nor very handy but was able to get this installed, setup, and working properly in about 30 mins. So far everything works great and it is integrated with my iphone

Works almost too good. I sprayed some air freshener and the device picked it up. It speaks to you as well. The only thing I would say is the alarm is quick to go off but there is a small delay when it comes to the app alerting you.
