Works great! My son smoked up the kitchen cooking and it contacted me at work to let me know. Gives me great piece of mind.

This is the perfect solution for me as a new parent. It tells me exactly what is going on and is easy to install. Its also nice to know what is going on when we are all out of the house.

Sleek design is appealing, and I like their interconnectedness.

Know ahead of time about any fires, smoke, or carbon monoxide dangers at home. The system also tests itself and notifies you about this. Have it paired with a Wink hub so far so good.

If I could give this five dozen stars I would. Now, I have yet to run into a situation where it’s gone off, but I like the ability to turn it off from my phone without breaking out the step ladder. I test them on a regular basis because of how simple it is. You open your nest app from your smart phone and run the “checkup”. Easy Peasy! I hope that in the future they will become more; possibly google homes and sync up with nest secure. If looking to purchase, I don’t think I’d replace something that’s working well for you but if you’re in the market for a smoke alarm click add to cart.

The product looks and works great, but for some reason adding any new nest product always fails when I have 5 GHz enabled on my WiFi. This is because Google expects you to have separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. To clarify this since Google will submit a generic rebuttal, of course I DO HAVE 2.4 enabled also and that is not the problem. The problem is that I must disable 5 GHz in order to setup any of the nest products that I use in my home (doorbell/cams/thermostats). After wasting a lot of time with useless error codes which are extremely vague and poorly documented, and starting over and over and over, I found the suggestion online and it worked. If they fixed that one thing or at least clearly documented this obvious issue, this would have definitely been a 5 star review!

The Battery unit works in conjunction with the Wired units I have in the house. Easy to install in an area where its not convenient to have a wired unit.

Works great with my Nest Thermostat and App. Connected seamlessly and provides piece of mind knowing I protected my family!

Similar to the Nest Thermostat, the Nest Protect was just as simple to install. The simplicity is great. The auto testing, the design, the setup are all great selling points.

I really like this smoke/CO alarm. It makes me feel better knowing I can get an alert on my phone when I'm not home in case there is an issue. I like that it has a pre-alarm alert sent to my phone; instead of immediately going off when I accidently burn dinner. It was pretty easy to set up too!

And it works. During the night the device senses movement and lights up our hallway with light that makes me feel as if I am in a halo.

Great product and easy setup . Don’t make the mistake I did and select the wrong language. Had to get help to change back to English

Added for additional safety considering we have toddlers. Easy to install and loud and simple to silence if your phone is handy.

simple to install...the hardest part of the installation is fixing the unit to a wall or ceiling and even that is super easy. i love the motion sensing pathway lighting in the dark
