easy install and set up. I choose the best detector because of the silence feature and the fact that it has a voice to alert the fire vs just an beep.

Nice that it works with batteries and can be connected to other Nest products and viewed on my phone. It also runs regular system checks, which is very comforting. It took just a few minutes to set up and the alarm is very loud. The nightlight is also a nice feature.

Was very easy to connect and put on the ceiling. Connected to app and all done. Hopefully I’ll never need it but nice to know it’s there.

Nest Protect is a premium Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detector. It is more expensive than most others but what I like about it is that I installed it in my cabin on Lake Superior and can monitor it from my home in Texas. The Nest thermostat has the same capability which allows me to control the temperature remotely. This is especially important in freezing temperatures.

I bought this as a way to know if something is happening while I'm away. It puts my mind at ease knowing what is going on at home. Very easy to set up.

The unit works as designed .I used 2 smoke detectors with the nest thermostat. Used with the app gives you the feeling of safety.very happy with the purchase.

Only thing is, I wish they weren’t so expensive. Other than that, it works great. I wish I could replace all of my smoke detectors with these.

The nest protect is the best smoke/fire/carbon monoxide monitor out there in my opinion. It uses two types of fire detection to give you the earliest possible warning, and they mesh together to give audio warnings and alarms in the whole house. If the one in the kitchen senses a fire it will alert and set of an alarm on all of the protects throughout the house. And before it sets off the loud alarm it gives a loud audio warning telling you where the issue is.

This is a very good smart smoke detector made by next. You can hook this up to your smart phone and be able to check the status. I use these on my rental properties which is very good because I want to make sure all my tenants are safe. I strongly recommend it. Batteries last a very long time.

We live in a two story house with a basement, our bedrooms being on the second floor. One of my biggest fears has been that a smoke alarm going off in the basement wouldn't be loud enough to wake us. With multiple Nest Protects installed, when one goes off, the others can alert us and tell us which alarm is going off. The automatic self-tests and the pathlight are a great features, too. In general, just a really well thought out system.

Very convenient with battery installation, connect to each other, clear instructions if smoke is detected.
