Easy to set up. It’s a carbon / smoke detector so nothing really exciting. The best thing about it is that it just works.

What a great well made and easy to set up. Have moved house since I first purchased and took them with me.

Easy to use and set up.. Works on wifi to send alerts.. Also has a motion sensor to illuminate the place where its mounted at night .. Compliments my best thermostat..

Ten minutes to set up, all intuitive and easily works with nest app. The piece of mind this provides is worth much more than the purchase price.

Nice that it works with batteries and can be connected to other Nest products and viewed on my phone. It also runs regular system checks, which is very comforting. It took just a few minutes to set up and the alarm is very loud. The nightlight is also a nice feature.

This detector works great. I had problems with y old detector going off for non-emergencies. Even shower steam was setting it off. Not a problem with this one.

The nest protect is the best smoke/fire/carbon monoxide monitor out there in my opinion. It uses two types of fire detection to give you the earliest possible warning, and they mesh together to give audio warnings and alarms in the whole house. If the one in the kitchen senses a fire it will alert and set of an alarm on all of the protects throughout the house. And before it sets off the loud alarm it gives a loud audio warning telling you where the issue is.

Easy to use. What I like about it is you can use your Nestcam with it. If the camera hears the alarm it will produce a video and send you a notification also.

Installation was a breeze. The Nest App walks you through the process. I hope that these do not have to be truly tested but feel safer knowing that Nest has me covered.

We needed a new smoke detector so we went with this and it was extremely easy to link to our existing nest system

Was very easy to connect and put on the ceiling. Connected to app and all done. Hopefully I’ll never need it but nice to know it’s there.

We live in a two story house with a basement, our bedrooms being on the second floor. One of my biggest fears has been that a smoke alarm going off in the basement wouldn't be loud enough to wake us. With multiple Nest Protects installed, when one goes off, the others can alert us and tell us which alarm is going off. The automatic self-tests and the pathlight are a great features, too. In general, just a really well thought out system.

This is a very good smart smoke detector made by next. You can hook this up to your smart phone and be able to check the status. I use these on my rental properties which is very good because I want to make sure all my tenants are safe. I strongly recommend it. Batteries last a very long time.
