Works great with thermostat

Peace of mind with kids

Specifically: - It can tell you exactly which room smoke is in - It gives you a heads up instead of a loud alarm as smoke starts increasing - You can monitor events/smoke/fires when you're not home All the above amounts to a lot less worry and a lot more peace of mind over the conventional smoke alarm.
