A very nice product!

One feature which is surprisingly good is the night light. We have it on our cathedral ceiling and it generates the perfect amount of light to see but not be bothersome.

A Smart Home Must Have!

This nest device is essential for integration with Google Home and our top notch security system. All other devices to not provide on-demand updates and status info. Gone are the false alarms from even 10-year battery leading smoke and CO2 units.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Nest Protect has such wonderful little features. A week ago I had a little smoke from cooking. Almost instantly the Protect gave me an audible warning that it was seeing a rise in smoke and may soon sound the alarm that it advised would be loud. At the same time it sent my phone a message and a minute later another message that the smoke level was decreasing. And every night as I turn off the lights, I look up at the Protect to see a green glowing ring to indicate that it is working properly. I never have to guess. Great!

Full Featured Smoke Detector

This detector, however, is for both smoke and CO2, and is very useful to have since I have a gas fireplace. Complete installation took about 15 minutes. Overall, a good investment. Just wish it was a thinner and less noticeable.
