This product has been great so far. It has not rang thank god but it sends reports to my email, and also has a light to illuminate at night.

Love this product! Voice alarms, connectivity to other NEST products, other smoke detector connectivity - outstanding.

Does what it’s supposed to do and then some. One feature which is surprisingly good is the night light. We have it on our cathedral ceiling and it generates the perfect amount of light to see but not be bothersome.

Replaced an old smoke detector. Installation was easy and took about 1/2 hour start to finish. Integrates seamlessly into the NEST app.

One of the most common questions I see with the Nest Smart Smoke Alarms is what is so special about these over the the regular "dumb" smoke alarms. I like the ease of setup but more importantly, the monthly self-checkups that these alarms do. It checks all 3 of its sensors monthly to make sure everything is working and if there are any issues, you get an email notification. That is valuable and worth getting over the "dumb" alarms.

Awesome item is very easy to set up just be careful when drilling the base of it is fragile so I had to use Velcro but it does the job.

The whole reason I bought Nest smoke detectors was to avoid being woken up at 3a when the battery is low. The website says “count sheep not chirps”. But it chirps when it needs new batteries and there’s no heads up. You’d think that with the promise of a talking smart alarm that it would say “this is a warning that you’re battery is low”. Or that it would send you a notification on your phone, since there is an app after all. Or that it would at least send you an email alert that the batteries are low. After all, I get marketing emails and a monthly “home report” email. Nope. The only thing it does it put a message in a message center in the app a couple days before the batteries are about to run out. So you’d only know if you were checking the app all the time. Here I am again getting woken up at 3a with a chirping smoke alarm, but having spent $100 instead of $50.

This is the second nest protect I've bought since I like this product so well. Always works and sends all the right info to your phone.

Purchased battery version that I could take with me. Very easy to install and simple to use. Inexpensive upgrade with a couple of neat features.

This smoke detector allows you to monitor the status while you are away by sending you alerts if smoke or carbon dioxide is detected. You also have full control of the detector on the nest app and it works well with other nest products such as the nest cam and the nest alarm system

Works great and very easy to setup. The monthly tests are great.

Love it so far have not had any issues super simple to set up link with my Nest account no problem.

The jest is extremely easy to install, I have 1 wired and 1 not wired and they are both equally easy to setup and utilize .
