I was very suspicious especially seeing some reviews on this product. But now that I have on this product for over a year now. This product is by far the safe product I have ever bought. I have four children and I definitely feel safe knowing that this product will keep me and my children safe by warning me when there are signs. It is also very loud and it def warns me through my smart phone. Thank you nest

I haven't had many "smart home" devices that have been this reliable and just work without constant updating and drama. My first Nest Protect (wired) came bundled with a Nest thermostat, and I like it equally as well.

We can have a little smoke in the kitchen and it will talk to us and state, "heads up, there is smoke on the main floor". If it continues to detect it, it will send a message to the other 2 and state the alarm will be going off. You can shut it off and when it does not detect any more smoke, even after it was shut off, the device will state the warning has ended. Our other smoke detector did not even pick up the smoke.
