Well upgraded than a standard smoke/CO detector. The nest app also makes it easy to monitor

This device is really easy to use - it easily connected with my phone and does a good job of detecting smoke.

I got 2 battery powered units and they were easy to set up and are working well a couple of months later.

Easily the best smoke/CO detector I have ever seen. Setup is fairly easy and they look fantastic on the wall/ceiling. But the beauty in these things is that they work incredibly well. Best example I can give: wife was cooking a steak and there was some smoke. I got an alert on my phone that there was some smoke. I opened a window. Soon after I got an alert on my phone letting me know the smoke was dissipating. Pretty cool.

Works well and can easily be access via my iPhone. Goes nicely into turning my house into a smart house.

This is my 4th Nest Protect. They are just so solid even at the higher price point it's worth it. Kept getting false positives with a different brand. Peace of mind when not at home that there is no smoke or carbon monoxide. Peace of mind that they are working accurately. Peace of mind that the nest application will tell you if a unit is having an issue. The "HeadsUp" early warning that levels are rising BEFORE the alarms go off is a great feature (although I haven't used it yet.) Only negative I can think of - outside of price - wish it would report back the temperature to the Nest app. Would be great to see the temp in each room.

Purchased to keep my older mother safe. we found out that her smoke detector was not working when I was down visiting... I have these in my home and love them... immediately I went and purchased one for her house. I have access to it via the app and get notifications when it goes off.. usually she sends me a text right away saying she is just cooking.

Easy to set up and navigate the app. Seems like adding more devices to the nest app would be simple. Not a big fan of the 2 year active period, but l can understand how this would get into safety compliance.

Ever think you would spend time checking in on a smoke detector? In the past I would only check if a battery were out every few years. This thing is super cool and will inform you of a fire remotely to your phone as it is connected to wi-fi. Also, it checks itself to see if its operating correctly. Oh, and if there were smoke, the Nests are all connected so it will tell you over all of the speakers which room of the house the smoke or carbon monoxide detection is in. Amazing.

At first I didn't want to purchase these due to the high cost but having a piece of mind that I would have active smoke detectors that would message me with issues on my phone is very important. I also really like the feature that it lights up where you are walking in the dark without you doing anything. I purchase 3 of them and they definitely all communicate lighting the way from my Kitchen to the hallway then the bedroom. Great product!!!
