I also really like the feature that it lights up where you are walking in the dark without you doing anything. I purchase 3 of them and they definitely all communicate lighting the way from my Kitchen to the hallway then the bedroom. Great product!!!

In the past I would only check if a battery were out every few years. This thing is super cool and will inform you of a fire remotely to your phone as it is connected to wi-fi. Also, it checks itself to see if its operating correctly. Oh, and if there were smoke, the Nests are all connected so it will tell you over all of the speakers which room of the house the smoke or carbon monoxide detection is in. Amazing.
