Perfect Smoke Detector

This smoke detector is the best in the world at what it does. You cannot get a better one for the price. 99 bucks is a steal to be constantly connected to wifi. Go out and get yourself 1 today. I personally bought 8 of them. Worth every penny. I would have paid even more if the price was higher.

Excellent smoke and CO2 talking detector

It does this and sends a message to my phone alerting me too. If someone is smoking in the house, both of us know they are busted. Its value is that it alerts those at home or away to any potential issue.

Great product

Only issue I had was the install of the second Protect I bought. Instead of taking just a few minutes it took a few hours and several calls to Nest to finally get the second Protect installed. Even with that frustration I will be buying more for my home now that I know how to get around the install issue I had.

2 in 1 unit at a fair price

I like the wifi on it so it will also alert you if you are away from home. A little more than other combo units but not bad if you also want wifi.

Don’t connect with range extender

My range extender gave out and suddenly no more disconnected problems. So if you have a mesh system you are fine but a range extender looses connectivity. Other than that works very well.

Does what it says it will do

While it’s simply a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, the fact that you can view its status while away its where the value is. We put it with our ring system (ring listener) and provides us that extra piece of mind when we are away.

NEST Protect is the modern day smoke alarm

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got tired of that loud chirping from my old smoke alarm.... you know that loud annoying sound in the middle of the night that doesn't tell you there's smoke but rather a dying battery? Well no more, this alarm can be monitored from an app and you'll know way in advance should the battery need replacing. It also has a CO monitor sensor in it as well.
