Peace of mind

I even put one in my garage which didn't come with one. Not sure why garages don't come with one standard, least not where I live. Highly recommend.

Great Option for Non-wired Spaces
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is our 3rd Nest Protect, the first two were wired in our main house but we converted our garage into a guest house with full kitchen and bathroom so having protection out there was important but not having planned in our renovation for this wiring was a huge oversight on our part, luckily Nest offers a battery version...now if they'll only do the same with the doorbell!

The good/bad news is that nothing has happened to test it for real; But if the $15 alarms work OK out of the box, then this one should also.

I did however give it four stars because at one point boiling eggs would set it off.

The Best Smoke/C02 Alarm Available.

In fact, You also get an alert on your phone if anything happens for peace of mind with the Nest app. I also like the added value of having a pathlight that lights up your way in the dark, because your smoke alarm should do more than just alert you of bad news...
