Looks great, connection iffy

However, once connected and installed it works well and looks nice. My cats and I love the guiding light feature.

Learning to love it

I did have one issue where the alarm went off (for no reason) and I was about 30 minutes away. I rushed home to turn it off as it could not be reset remotely. My cat had to listen to the piercing sound and I never found out what set it off.

It gives you notifications for everything. Customizable. Don't need, won't show it. Works great in conjunction with the thermostats and cameras. If theres a notice, the camera turns on. If there's high heat, the thermostat turns off. The whole nest setup is amazing.

Hope you'll never use it

I has not gone off yet which is good but I don't know if it's going to send a notification if it does detect smoke. It would be nice to have a battery percentage meter. I'm assuming I'll get a notification when the batteries need changing. Other than that, seems like a perfectly normal yet stylish smoke detector.

Great detector, give a good sense of safety

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy with this nest product, not to long ago my wife started making pancakes and started to fall asleep when she sat down for a minute.. . the alarm went off way before the the other regular smoke alarm got wind of it. My wife jumped up and was able to stop a fire from starting. The app should have a louder sound on my phone but other then that it"s great!

BestBuy helps for sound sleep

She’s now able to sleep without fear that the smoke alarm will wake her up in the middle of the night. Thank you.
