Nest Protect

The Nest Protect can do both and now I can monitor it from my phone. I'm currently doing some home automation and this is step 1. I've also purchased the Nest Thermostat and Outdoor camera. I would surely recommend this to everyone!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We use these in our short term rental units - they give alerts if smoke is detected in our condos so we can reach out to guests or make a call to the building manager / local FD if there is a problem. I wish there was some other company offering similar units… I despise Google… but this is all that’s available. Only issue is syncing units to the existing network. Seems to take 3-4 tries on the last two or three groups of Nest Protects I’ve installed.

Connectivity issues can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest Protect, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Nest app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion, and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help. Also, please make sure that your Nest Protect is connected to 2.4Ghz connection.

It is really easy to set up and when is connected to the app you can easily see the history and how the house is running. It is great!

They light up when it’s dark to show the pathway. Also these function as repeats for the next system and help to integrate large houses
