I did have a problem getting it to connect to my wifi but one call to tech support fixed that. I love the way it senses movement and gives you a nice gentle light to see by. We haven't had any false alarms, it seems to be working just fine.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We use these in our short term rental units - they give alerts if smoke is detected in our condos so we can reach out to guests or make a call to the building manager / local FD if there is a problem. I wish there was some other company offering similar units… I despise Google… but this is all that’s available. Only issue is syncing units to the existing network. Seems to take 3-4 tries on the last two or three groups of Nest Protects I’ve installed.

Connectivity issues can be caused by different factors like location and distance of Nest Protect, Wi-Fi router, outdated phone and Nest app. This may also be caused by Wi-Fi network congestion, and Wi-Fi interference with other devices and/or networks. Removing other devices from your Wi-Fi might help. Also, please make sure that your Nest Protect is connected to 2.4Ghz connection.

It is really easy to set up and when is connected to the app you can easily see the history and how the house is running. It is great!

Love it and it's easy to control from the phone.

It works well and also has a night light which is helpful at night. I like the fact that it has a rechargeable battery thus eliminating purchasing new batteries. I can also test it with my phone.

I have tested them with controlled produced smoke and I cannot say enough about how important it is that the voice warning actually tells you where smoke has been detected. That will make a difference for your getting out of your house alive if it is on fire.
