This is a great addition to home security - you get fire, CO2 and a friendly path light. The app keeps you in full contact with the home system -- can add onto system as well. Can't say enough about having a low dim light when you come close -- and the happy green light saying all is well when I am ready to head to sleep for the night.

Our smoke detector was old (they have a 10 year life) and our carbon monoxide needed to be replaced as well. One Smart device for about the price of two. It's great to be able to monitor the situation at home. We loved it loved it so much we bought the thermostat & security cameras a few weeks later. All were easy to install and set up.

Love my Nest Protect. This is the third one I have purchased. Once the radon detector goes, it must be replaced.

I purchased this smoke/carbon monoxide alarm because I need a new alarm and all the products in my home was Google so I wanted everything to work together. My first alert came directly to all of my family devices and it was quickly taken care of. Great product.

Simply put this is an amazing piece of technology!

Nice upgrade and combines smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in 1. Linking units (bought 5) together took a little bit, but eventually worked. 4 stars because Nest has not figured out how to have these units communicate with your monitoring service. In other words if there is a fire the units will not contact fire dept, you better be near your phone to receive alert and call yourself. Nest brochure says every second counts because your home can burn down in under 10-minutes yet no way to connect these to your alarm system.

Having this product does give you peace of mind. That being said it was a little troublesome to connect to the network compared to other devices. Also seems to be a little pricey.

Started with one of these in our home and now up to 4 with 1 on each of the floors in hopes that if there is an unfortunate event, they interlink and will alert us of the smoke/fire. Integrates easily within the Google platform.

I have invested in the nest ecosystem (thermostat and nest cam), so this was the last piece of the puzzle. I was concerned about buying this based on poor reviews of the 1st gen nest protect but this 2d gen has been excellent and has given me great peace of mind to have a combined smoke and co detected with all the great features nest provides.

Having this in the house connected to my phone is great
