This is definitely better than the old ones that beep. my wife burns a lot of food (basically if she steps into the kitchen the alarm goes off). so its much better to have a kind voice saying "there is smoke" before it goes insane. gives us the chance to avoid the havoc!

I have not tested out the actual alarm to see if I received an alert via wifi but the setup is easy, and in the house you hear it loud and clear

I was interested in this product for its basic features, of course, but also for the feature of notifying our cell phones, in case smoke or carbon monoxide were detected in our home. This peace of mind insurance made it worth the extra cost. The light sensor is an added bonus.

This is exactly what we were looking for, it works with google technology and the motion pathway light at night is great

Love these things. No more low battery beeps in the middle of the night, where i can't even tell which one is beeping. Super easy to install and setup.

I purchased this Nest smoke/carbon monoxide alarm to replace the existing battery operated unsmart smoke/carbon monoxide alarm. I really like the ability to monitor the alarm remotely and get notifications, such as; activity history, testing, etc.

I haven't had a reason for the alarm to go off on this yet, but I love the peace of mind that comes with it. Also, it was very easy to set up.

We feel very comfortable knowing that our CO/Smoke/Fire detectors are now able to let us know they are working and inform us of any problems remotely being pet owners. Also having multi level floors the fact that if any unit senses a problem they all will trigger!

I love the way these work with the nest thermostat in that if it detects smoke and fire, it cuts off air circulation in the home to slow the spread. Highly recommend if you have a Nest enabled home

Works as advertised, love the nightlight feature..

Very, very happy with these alarms. Its rare to find interconnected, battery-operated alarms, but these coordinate with each other like a breeze. Alarms are loud, clear, and the app works great. Also love the regular system checks and low battery alerts. One little, but annoying catch...never change your wifi SSID name, or else you have to go through the entire setup process all over again. Only one device can be setup at a time and each takes several minutes. A simple change of the wifi name or password will cost you unnecessary amounts of time to get them re-operational.

I feel safer knowing these are in my home, and lights the way at night thanks to it's proximity sensor and internal light. Great feature I didn't know I needed! I have a mix of these and dumb smoke alarms so have great coverage without breaking the bank.

Although a bit pricey, it’s worth the peace of mind of protecting your family and home. I loved that it auto checks itself and alerts you of smoke dangers while away from home.

Purchased this because locally we are required to have smoke detectors in each room. Really like the option of having a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in one. Purchased the battery powered option and setup was very simple. I plan on purchasing more to add to my setup.

I have four of these now. The auto testing and night light via motion is great. I would give 5 stars if would connect to Honeywell platform

Easy setup and simple testing through app. I haven't experienced an alert yet but all other aspects including appearance overall are great!

The Nest Protect works as advertised. It keeps a log as well so you can review its scans and the path light is an added bonus! Great Product. I just wish you could view this within Google Home...

Bought another one to put in our son's room. We already have two in our house and this was a natural addition. The app is super easy to use. The detector gives us peace of mind at home and away with the app.

It's nice to finally have some control and use coming from our smoke detectors. If someone burns a pizza they don't have to worry about setting off alarms because they can tell the detector it's ok. We also like how it tells us what's going on rather than just making a lot of noise.

The day I got a smoke detected alert on my phone I knew I had gotten the right detector. I was in another state, and I knew right away. It turned out to be nothing serious (a hot griddle). Being able to call my wife and find out that everything was ok was fantastic.
