Was skeptical of purchasing this, but after reading g reviews and researching online I decided to go for it! I like how it connects with all my other Nest products.

Really appreciate the voice notifications in lieu of obnoxious beeps and that it can be silenced from a phone. Will eventually add more to our home.

I love this product. We bought these so we would be notified via text message of a fire in our home. It makes us feel a lot safer leaving our pets at home.

Great addition to my smart home. Love being able to check the status of the device with my phone. Also nice to pair it with IFTT recipes to have your phone ring in the event of an emergency. Gives me a little more peace of mind.

Google -Nest Smoke & Carbon Monoxide is work perfect as described. We get notifications anywhere if smoke or carbon in the home.

I have on all levels of my home. . Gives me piece of mind , when we are @ work with a beloved dog @ home . Also when traveling if for some reason it goes off I can make a quick phone call home first before a call 911 . Great product

I started with the Nest thermostat and after loving it for 2 months decided to add to the Nest family by updating my 1990 smoke detector with Nest Protect 2nd generation. So far so good! Love that it talks before sounding the alarm.

I love the nest smoke alarm! Almost a month after I got it we had a new frying pan and for some reason the new non stick pan started to heavily smoke and it did go off so I know it works great!

The Nest Smoke / Carbon Monoxide Alarm is quite inventive. Accessible from mobile devices, runs monthly tests, announces alarm in human voice and where the location of an anomaly is. Life expectancy is 10 plus years.

Very nice, recommend if you've already invested or want to invest in google products. Works well with google home app.

Added a second best protect to my basement when I had a new heating system put in that required having a propane line installed. Nice way to feel comfortable while not at home.

We haven’t needed it yet, but we’re glad we have it. It’s an added piece of mind. We’re glad we’ve never needed it, but if we ever do, we’ll be glad we got it.

This is our second one. We tried it first and live it. It talks and periodically runs tests to remind you that it is working. The two communicated with each other. Highly recommend.

Had a test run recently with some smoke from the kitchen, and absolutely love it! Notifies all NEST devices in your home, let’s you know when it’s decreasing, and the phone alerts were on point. Great buy!

great smoke detectors. I have them in most of the rooms of my house. They are all synced together and provide extra assurance that i'd be warned if there was a fire.

Love this thing. Would def buy again. Way better than traditional smoke detectors.

The Nest detector warned us after we closed up our garage, when it detected carbon monoxide. The warning maintained until it no longer detected any carbon monoxide. The alarm is loud and it also tells you what it detected.

Actually it is a little expensive than traditional smoke detector but it is still worthy based on the functions, especially phone notification when you are not home.
