Very happy with the purchase. Set up was straight forward.

We spent a lot of money for this system and extra detectors and sensors and extenders. Our detects go offline constantly and I've spent about a dozen nights up late trying to work with support to get them back up. Some of the detectors are only a few feet away from the unit, which is only a few more feet from the wifi router. There is no reason they should keep going offline. Beyond that, there support always tells you the same thing (uninstall and reinstall) and when I finally got pushed up to engineering for a fix they told me it would take 2 weeks, which mean I'm without security for 2 weeks. They refuse to do anything to try to expedite the process. I hate to swallow all the money I spent on this system but I'm replacing it with a Simplisafe.

So great price on a bundle. However the guard in the box is so old that it could not update to latest software release. Had to request a replacement from google. They should really pull the older product from shelf if they have had significant updates between releases.

I decided to pay about $1800 buying all the different Nest products instead of paying a monthly fee for home security. Worst decision ever!! Took me all day to get everything connected wireless and out of the 1 month that I’ve had it, I bet it’s been online 1 full day!! It just seems that every day you’re trying to get something back online.. The idea of how it should work was great but it would be easier just to pay the $60 monthly to a provider

Best Buy is continuing to sell this line despite knowing Google has discontinued the product line. There is no intent on making more meaning you better hope you don’t need a warranty replacement. This is a very expensive system that is essentially defunct. It is insane Best Buy is selling these. I spent over $1k on differently nest security orodtcrs and found out 40 days later they were being discontinued. When I tried to return them BB said it was past their 30 day policy! Truly unscrupulous behavior BB!
