Too expensive for basic technology. Consider returning if a cheaper product fits the bill. Relies on form over function.

Didn’t trust the system and I return the system back to the store.

Nest detects often goes offline. Even with extender. Camera goes offline often and would not come back on for couple of days straight. Was a pain to install it as well.

I like the products but need to better device youbvv

Don't buy this again as Google has stopped to maintein this product line.

2 sensors failed to link. Dumd design. Outside camera can be unplugged and stolen in 2 seconds.

As technology goes, setting up the Nest Secure could not have been much simpler. Using the QR code to launch the install was very easy. Being able to move to a system that is "portable" was an important selling point. Taking a security system from one home to another is going to be wonderful when we relocate. Additionally, the system is so civilized. Our last system produce anxiety whenever we would come home. The shrieking until we punched in the access code was only annoying to us. No burglar would have given it a second thought as they robbed us. Allowing us to control when the police are called is another plus. Sure, if you have a break-in you want the police notified immediately, but to be perfectly honest, our last system went off once or twice because we failed to enter the code in time and both times the alarm monitoring company called our house first, asked for our password before summoning the police. Not exactly reaching out to the police immediately. The mobile app is also excellent. Allowing us to even arm or disarm the alarm when outside the house. It also reminds you if it senses that you have left the house, but didn't set the alarm. We love the comfort and peace of mind that we have with the Nest.

This product was a breeze to set up. The nest app guides you through the entire thing. Just like my outdoor cameras I simply scanned the QR code to add the new device. Everything regarding arming, disarming, and turning the alarm off is a simple touch, tap, or button press away. The hardware is sleek and stylish while being surprisingly rugged. My roomba pulled it off my entryway half wall on day one and it had no I'll effects or even a scratch. I have different options for disarming the alarm whether it be tapping the sensor with the key fob, entering my pass code, or using the app on the phone. If I forget to turn it on its very easy to arm from my phone. This also pairs well with my outdoor cams to record video if there is any motion detected. The only drawback is that it detects motion from my roomba or my dogs and goes off. I kennel my dogs about half the time and I simply rescheduled my roomba. I could probably solve both by simply moving the sensor higher but it hasn't been much of an issue.

I have a Nest home—fire, CO2, and now Nest Protect! Works well right out of the box, and the set-up is simple. Works as stated. The only negative is to have a 24/7 monitor to go along with the product is quite pricey per month. I plan to also buy the doorbell to replace my Ring.

I am a Nest User. Thermostat, Protect and now Secure. The secure was very easy to setup, and having access from the app if great. If you forget to set the alarm no problem. Set it from your phone. All alarms have that anxiety of accidentally setting it off. You can disable the alarm via the app, with a fob, or a keypad. Very useful. I'd highly recommend it,

I own a home, and also rent another home. I don't want to have to think about home security, but know I should have it. All the other options are big and clunky. But it needed to work, and not require a bunch of passcodes and wall drilling. I also wanted something that seamlessly integrated with my other nest products. Nest overdelivered. This is their best product since the thermostat in my opinion, although I also like the smoke detector and outdoor cams a lot. The app upgrades are nice. It's not cheap, but neither is your security and it truly is a 'smart' product. I have not opted for the pro-monitoring service which seems too expensive for a brand (Moni?) I haven't heard much about. That said, I found the alarm to be loud enough that my neighbors could hear it, so no worries there. Really nice job, I just wished they had it built in to Google Home. Duh! Why the two companies don't work together more often (isn't Nest owned by Google?) is crazy. Again, as a stand alone, or as an addition to the Nest portfolio, this one is a winner.

Finally a security product that easy to install and please to the eye, the only problem that I have had is that I have a great dane and the dog has been able to trigger the alarm when left alone at home.

Looks nice and super easy to set up and use. Provides added peace of mind while Home or away. Love that the door sensors also detect motion.

I love this product!!! It works perfectly and connects perfectly with the rest of the Nest products!!!! It is extremely easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!

So far this system is great. Setup was a breeze. The app is just great at control and giving the right information at the right time. The security system can be a stand alone system or have a paid monitoring service which is great. It looks really good. Everything has worked flawlessly since we opened the box. Highly recommended.

Nest Secure is great, the response between the app and the system is almost instant.

Overall this is a great product and easily the best DIY home security system available. I'll echo some others by saying that it needs options for glass break sensors, and no alarm delay times. Otherwise this system is perfect. Highly recommended.

Overall after two weeks of using this it's been really good. Way easier to setup than expected. Also does a great job monitoring with camera features.

The alarm is great and can be fixed with one simple update to the software. Right now, by Nest's own admission, you cannot set an instant trigger for when a door is opened while in home and guarding mode. The minimum time before the alarm goes off is 30 SECONDS! How can they call this a security system when the alarm doesn't go off for 30 seconds after someone breaks through a door?? I'll be driving back to BestBuy to return this.

Integrates with all other Nest products and includes battery backup and you can purchase a cell backup subscription through a partner for alerts in case Internet/Wireless is disconnected. Will pay for itself very quickly over typical alarm system with a monthly cost. No monthly subscriptions required, however, video stored in cloud and cell backup are optional.
