Connectivity issues for Nest Thermostat may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, distance of the device from the router, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby and other Wi-FI settings. Dual band connection should be compatible with Nest Thermostat. 2.4Ghz is more stable compared to 5Ghz especially if there are a lot of devices connected to the same network at the time.

Fantastic addition to home thermostat

Especially with the rebates available in many states (cost ~$50 here in Massachusetts with an instant rebate when purchased through BestBuy).

Once I found out that you couldn't adjust the temperature range more than +/- 1 degree from the set temperature. For example, if I set the thermostat at 75 degrees on cool, it would turn on at 76 degrees and turn off at 74 degrees. That puts a lot of strain on the unit by constantly turning on and off.
