When your system and thermostat are working normally, there can be a small difference between what the app and device shows. The Nest Thermostat will wait to turn on your system until it gets to about 1ºF (0.5ºC) cooler than the temperature you’ve set. Not a terrible purchase

Set up was kind of a huge pain…install is easy but getting it connected to the internet was awful.

While Wi-Fi connectivity issue may be caused by several reasons, here are a couple troubleshooting suggestions that may be helpful with the connectivity issue:
1. Make sure your home Wi-Fi is working.
2. Check the status of the Nest service.
3. Check that you have the latest version of the Home app.
4. Restart your Nest Thermostat.
5. Restart your router.
6. Check for interference.
7. Reset your thermostat's connection.
