    Just got it but as of now i hate it. It chooses temp called eco friendly temp. Trying so hard to understand it failing. I juat want to be able to have ""fan on auto''' and change the temp as needed. Icant beat the program. Im losing and mu have to return.

    Away feature does not work!

    The automatic away feature on these does not work. I was on with customer service for 30 minutes and they could not fix it. So, it does not detect when I leave my home to lower the temperature. Water of money.

    Had to return! Kept getting error from app stating nest was offline, even after contacting google for help, it didn’t work. I was able to adjust temp from the nest itself just not from the app, which defeats the purpose of a smart thermostat to me.

      Connectivity issues for Nest Thermostat may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, distance of the device from the router, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby and other Wi-Fi settings.     Do not buy this thermostat. It will ruin your compressor and it will cost you thousands of dollars to repair it.

    Old Nest Thermostat is way better. The google app is horrible and wants to link your personal accounts into one account. I just want to control my thermostat. I will be returning this and getting a different thermostat.

    This device would NOT. Connect to our WiFi in our place in Tahoe. Returned. The main (3rd generation Nest) is MUCH BETTER. It does cost twice as much. Nest needs to market upgrades/repair parts for it however.

    Batteries need replace every month Auc conditioner comes on when it’s 65 degrees inside and said inside temp is 90 degrees and can’t be fixed without taking it off the wall

Nest uses motion detected by Google Nest Protects and Google Nest thermostats to automatically switch to Home or Away mode, but not to trigger Nest Secure’s alarm. Nest Thermostat detects occupancy, but not intrusion. With intrusion, you need to be more certain that it is a person in the room to avoid false alarms. Also, devices must be certified for security to sound the alarm.

    I’ve had this device since…November and I’m yet to use it. Why? Because my home is old and I need an adaptor so it doesn’t short circuit. When I finally get it up and running, I’ll change my review.

    Looking at the product, it is not worth the price or the product. Battery is too low, didnt have a protector to put against the wall abd overall not worth it.

    Not smart buy at all

    I was only able to control it in my iPhone for a month after that it won’t connect to my iPhone anymore, not a smart buy at all, I should believe the previous people reviews

    Terrible. Don't buy it. It doesn't have a dial like the other nests, it goes by finger touch and it's not very good at that.

    Difficult Thermostat

    This thermostat is unpredictable and I do not reccomend it. It was difficult to program and I tossed it to get the Honeywell thermostat.

    Started off good but then 3 months in it started going offline on its own. Had to restart thermostat a couple of times and would not show correct temp. Not worth the purchase.

      Your Nest Thermostat gets power from the wires of your heating and cooling system. If your Nest Thermostat no longer turns on, and if you still have your old standard thermostat, we recommend uninstalling Nest Thermostat and try connecting your old thermostat to see if you will get any power from your system to activate your older thermostat. If your old thermostat doesn't turn on, we suggest contacting your preferred HVAC technician to check your system.
