I love it; it keeps my warming system in my house under my control and DOES save money. easy to use and install ( just follow the instruction and do not act too smart )

This was my 2nd Google nest thermostat of the same type. This was great until it wouldn't stay connected to the app. Worked great for about 2 1/2 months and now it won't stay connected to the app so we can't control it remotely at all. Restarting it connects it back but it may stay connected for a day ir 2 then back to the same issue. I went through all the troubleshooting prior to calling then. Talking to Goggle nest customer service was pointless did all the same troubleshooting they have listed on the app that i told them i already did multiple times. I saw on anothwr review that the Google home app is the problem and they already know it but haven't done anything about it. I asked early on in the call if that was the issue to avoid wasting my time. The agent said she never heard of it only to put me on a long hold after the repetitive troubleshooting and tell me there is a problem with the Google app and they are working to resolve it. The problem with that is the review I had previously read about the app problem was already about 4 months old. I give up I'm taking this back and getting a Honeywell. I really wanted this to work badly but i refuse to pay and keep something that doesn't do what it is supposed to do. The whole point in a smart thermostat for me is to be able to control it remotely. Also i turned off the eco feature bc it kept setting my a/c at 80° in the middle of the morning and we work from home. In Texas heat that is the equivalent of no a/c. Google try again. Just won't be with me.

We love the features! The ability for the thermostat to change temps when no one is home to save on our power bill is what sold us. We love it does that automatically after we setup that feature.

Not a Google person personally but purchased this model as it supports Matter which should work with HomeKit (Apple Home). It does in fact work with Apple Home. Setup process was simple for the thermostat itself and adding to the Home app so I can control it using Siri.

It was a great experience purchasing went smooth as well as installation, would recommend!

I love the thermostat and the smart capabilities, I am knocking off one star because many homes don't have the proper wiring to use this out of the box, my house did not, so be aware. Also, programing is not intuitive, it is great once you figure it out, but I had to look for a while to find the right settings

Love this. Connects to wifi and you can control thr temperature of your home from anywhere. You can set schedules and it uses your phone locations and a motion sensor to know when you are home. Turns the heat down automatically when nobody is in the hourse and turn it on when you show up.

We love the Google Nest, but it does have it's quirks. My husband does IT and each time he does stuff with our network, it always gets disconnected from WiFi and it's a pain in the neck to get connected again as my husband has to jump through hoops just to get it connected again. I personally have had issues with navigating it's interface and stuff as it's a tad confusing. It's good, but it could be less confusing to use - for me anyway. Lol!

One of the standout features of Nest thermostats is their smart functionality. Really like this unit. Easy to install and set up, although I tweaked our program a few times, until I got it right. That's obviously NOT a flaw in the thermostat! One thing I have noticed, sometimes the unit will not initiate the scheduled program setting until it senses a presence nearby. For instance, setting will remain on nighttime temp, if we sleep past scheduled morning setting, until we walk out into the area where the thermostat is located. Not a big deal for us, so we still love this unit. Plus, we got a $50 rebate from our electric utility company!!

I will keep this brief. The Oringinal Nest thermostat (2nd or 3rd generation) is still the best one out there in terms of functionality, style, and intuitive use. So I would actually give this a 3 out of 5 stars. HOWEVER, the fact this is about $200 dollars cheaper on sale then the Orginal and has all the same functionality in the app and on the nest (plus some people may enjoy the look).

I love this, My Wife Loves this, My Daughter Loves this, My mother Loves This, Heck even My Dog Loves this! Once you get past the initial "Install/Set-Up" phase you will feel the benefit from using this Wifi Thermostat!! I won't go into a long detail review because you can just read about the features and performance on this product, You can Also go watch a good 1 or 2 detailed video review on this product if you wish, i recommend that you do! better than reading our reviews on this. We love this tool in our house and I'm sure anyone who is Tech-Savvy and likes new next gen gadgets will love this!

I love the simplicity of the device while also being compact on the wall. Once you get it figured out, its simple and quite nice. It has a side touch bar to access the menu's and it lights up a little bit when you walk by it. Its very nice but if you dont have a c wire in your previous thermostat, you will have to get a c wire adaptor to use but otherwise very good.

Always wanted to upgrade my home thermostats and now with the new less expensive Google Thermostat, I decided to give em a try. After almost a month of use I'm very impressed, they're really easy to use (as long as you don't need your C-Wire). I love the Google Home app as well, the wifi integration to be able to change the temps on the couch or on my way home, very convenient!

During installation I got an E294 error. Some research suggested that in spite of the Nest thermostat saying no common wire was necessary it appears in my case it was. The bad news is that the unit "remembered" the setup and there was no way to "factory reset" the unit according to Nest Support. So I returned it and got a replacement. With the common wire installed the installation went fine.

I like my new thermostat. I was able to install it myself. I works fine. I had some trouble programming it at first but i mostly have it figured out now. I had a different one in our last home that i really liked more but was unable to get it to work in my new home so i changed to this brand. It works as advertised and the price was fair.

it works very well, it is beautiful, and it does what he is supposed to do with the big advantage of the connection to your Home app on your phone. Ideal for who owns a unit but doesn't live there and needs to connect remotely. TIP: you need internet in your unit all the time otherwise the thermostat will still work but no remote control capability. TIP if you don't have a C cable with your old thermostat, you can still install this but it is tricky from a set up standpoint !

This is my first smart thermostat and it doesn't disappoint. I can make adjustments anytime, anywhere from my phone or using my nest hub max. But what I love the most is the data the thermostat record of my energy usage. This is where it really shines if you want to make routines based around the day or time of year. If you want full control then get the Learning version, but for the rest of us this sku is perfect. I got it for the sale price making it worth it alone for the energy saved.
