Good Thermostat

Might be off a degree or two saying it’s 70 when it’s closer to 68. But I think it’s programmed to try and be energy efficient. Which Doesn’t bother me at all honestly, I’m surprised I have had zero issues with this thermostat. Google home app works great, I guess Technology is finally making real advancements in smart devices. what a wonderful time we live in, now if we could just get everyone on the same page humanity might have a fighting Chance.

It is a smart thermostat, so much so that it has an independent brain that takes a bit of training for it to learn what is "comfortable" for me. After a few weeks of training, it is complying more. Yet, I need to check on it regularly to correct it when it appears to go rogue.

I come back and the ac is turned down. And sometimes it’s good and sometimes in wonder who is operating it. I keep asking my wife is she’s messing with it. I’ve tried to turn it off but it sometimes has a mind of its own

Only the Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat can use Auto-Schedule, and is not available for the Nest Thermostat, so it cannot automatically adjust its temperature schedule. Instead, you can enable Savings Finder to get suggestions to adjust temperatures in the schedule and help save energy.
When you manually adjust the temperature, the temperature will stick until the next scheduled temperature change. With a temperature preset, you can easily set a specific temperature that you repeatedly use a bit faster than manually adjusting the temperature dial. Besides using ready-made presets like Comfort, Eco, and Sleep, you can create custom presets. This is helpful for other times you might like a specific temperature that’s not included in your thermostat’s existing presets. Check this link to learn more:
If you want to set your thermostat on temperature hold to maintain specific temperature for as long as you want, please see the steps below:
- In the Menu view, select Hold temperature.
- Select Current temp or Eco.
- Choose a time. You can scroll up and down to edit the time by half-hour blocks.
If you’re using the Eco preset, you can also choose None to hold the temperature indefinitely until you end the hold. For other presets, your thermostat can hold the temperature for up to 24 hours.
- Select Confirm.
If you want to make changes to the temperature but there’s a hold, the app or thermostat will tell you that you need to end the hold first.

Been a month of using it and good for a smart and cheaper thermostat that you just wifi connectivity and easy operation. One thing i noticed is that the thermostat would not start heating immediately when there is a drop in temp below theresold.. still learning its behavior

We've noticed it drops the temp during the nights, but that doesn't seem to bother us as much as it gets back up to temp in the mornings as we wake. We also got a $100 rebate for this from Ameren upon filling out a rebate with them, so it's essentially paid for.

That device comes with a scroll wheel and a metal body. That device also supports extra sensors for separate rooms, if you have a big house. However, I have an old and small house. So this thermostat works for me. I have been thinking to get a smart thermostat for years now, but also didn't want to spend too much. This device works for me.

I purchased it before the summer months to try out. It’s great, you can adjust schedules for it. And have multiple people on the app. I installed it myself. Just make sure to shut off power to install. So far it’s been great.p

Very well made and it looks even better in person. The setup was easy and everything was done through the app with guides to help you with the installation. This is the thermostat to get.

Kept it for two years and replaced it with a different nest recommended by our ac contractor.

Great Smart Thermostat

I can change or check the temperature from my phone at a different location and it shows my battery level and how much usage my home uses for heat or air.

Works differently than the original one that had the outer ring that turned to adjust the temp. This one has touch sensitive controls on the right side. Honestly, not a big deal. If you don't know what W1, or C wire, or any of that mean, get a pro to install it. Also, be careful when mounting. The base has screws on the top and bottom, which is very likely where your wires are running (most likely down, where the bottom screw would go). Don't screw into your wiring!
