This is a tough review as I know this is the cheap product with nest. This does not connect to the nest app that has more feature than the google app does. You must install with google app which is very limited in functionality. The overall setup was a little difficult even with directed guidance in app. Felt it always disconnected from google app and could not be recognized. Had to keep going through the process. The cheapness is also found in the overall interface of thermostat. Not easy navigating with finger on side. You pay for what you get here. It does work but not necessarily the way you would want it to. Save the frustration and get better nest device if you are a google smart home user.

This was a perfect unit for the basic functions of heating and cooling with a few other neat things like the ability to put itself into eco mode when no one is home which helps save some energy. Easy to use and easy to install, maybe took 20 minutes.

I purchased it over a year ago. Super easy step by step guide helped me install it by myself and it connects seamlessly to all of my Google home products. I love I can have set temperatures for different times of the day, and it has definitely helped to save money on my electric bill.

It does the main things I was looking for in my thermostat. I can schedule it, control it from my phone, and is compatible with google home/mini. Bonus points for it looking awesome, having smooth controls and being very very user friendly. Side note: both my parents have the google learning thermostat. As far as I can tell, the actual learning is the only feature this device doesn’t have. I am glad I went with this model and saved the money.

Love it! I bought it during the earth day sale google was doing and haven't regretted it since. So convenient to be able to control my thermostat from my phone or through my multiple google homes. Only issue is sometimes it is finicky with the app or voice commands but that still beats out the inconveniences of my old thermostat.

Love these thermostats! They work well with google and are relatively easy to set up and use. They don’t go through batteries like water and have a large display you can see easily from across the room. Some features(though I don’t use them) are really neat!

Sadly I ended up having to return it due to my house being so old and needed t be rewired. But I got one for my mom and she loves it. I love how it's so small and blends into the wall and looks like a cool space age piece. I love that now my mom is able to control the temperature of her house on her phone and I feel that Google Nest is so user friendly to set up and she's able to figure it out on her own.

Make sure you check to see if its compatible with your system. My furnace required an additional power adapter to install for the thermostat to work. Other than that, works great. I can control the temperature from anywhere.

Good and I love being able to change the temp from anywhere. However, it is annoying that I have to reconnect the thermostat anytime the power goes out.

Easy to install. My folks are in their 70s and are not too keen of anything that’s touch screen. However, they’re able to learn and use this thermostat. It really does help when you can cool down the house from your phone in a remote location.

I have previously owned the Learning Thermostat, but didn't really use any of the learning features so thought I would check this one out. The control on the side takes a minute to get used to if you have used the dial kind before, but it's actually very nice to not have to touch the screen. Setup was easy through the Home app. The mirrored screen is pretty and the unit is small.

I used this thermostat to upgrade my apartment regular thermostat. This made my life easy. Now I can set up the temperature when I am away from home. I can also program my temperature according to my availability at home. The operation is not easy in the beginning. With the manual , which is written elaborately to explain all the steps. This is very energy efficient thermostat makes the heating and cooling job efficient in any home.

I havent used it very long but the set up was very easy and its simple to use. I like being able to work it from my phone as well. It wouls be nice if the vanity plate came with it but i guess its not always needed for everyone.

This is a great thermostat especially for the price. It works great and I love that it automatically adjusts when you are away from home. The only improvement I would like would be to make the ‘slider’ on the side of the thermostat a little easier to use when adjusting the temp but overall it works great and is easy to use and program.

If this thermostat works with your system, I highly recommend this over the nest learning thermostat. Straight forward installation. Good had really crated a good ecosystem within the goggle home app. The features this thermostat has is amazing. It's great having the ability to adjust the temp when we're out of town. We never come back to a hot or cold house.

Works OK but unfortunately, I needed something that could run on battery only because my home's heating is not wired correctly. I ended up spending $1K to have a heating contractor re-wire before this would work properly.

I had the more expensive Nest thermostats, then lightning shorted them out. These look good and the Google App connects faster than the old Nest App. But if you want to touch control them, it's harder. They don't have a ring that turns like the older ones, so it takes finesse to touch the side just right.
