The Nest Thermostat definitely is an investment to help save on heating costs. It is easy to install and set up to maintain three temperature settings of comfort, eco, and sleep. If your system doesn’t have a “common” thermostat wire the Google wiring adapter is needed to maintain optimal performance.

I really like my Nest Thermostat. It covers all the bases for my place and has almost every feature I need. It does not have Thread support which is a bummer and it also does not support temperature sensors. Other than those things, it's a great thermostat and I would recommend it.

OE batteries are not rechargeable. OE batteries lasted 25 days! No "c" wire no power. Must use a pair of rechargeable batteries for power and charge when batteries are getting low. Counter intuitive rotating dial.

This smart thermostat is awesome and has an easy to read screen in any light setting. The controls for navigating the settings on the device itself takes a little bit to get used to, so I mainly used the Google Home app for all adjustments.

I originally brought one last year downstairs to test it out and see how I like it. I loved the instant changes I can make through the Google app and making schedules. So I ordered a second one for upstairs, it was a newer model but it worked fine after connecting the thermostat wires which makes me nervous anyway so I disconnected the power to the house just to make sure that I did not blow a fuse!

Love the programmable features but if you get the white one it could get dirty if you touch with dirty hands.

Why can you not sell a product with a written or at least published manual which does not require a telephone or an app to use. This could easily be incorporated into a home monitoring of WIFI system without a separate app and the need of a phone. I have two of these things.

So much easier to control the temperature from my phone rather than the old clunky thermostat that you had to press buttons and wait and wait. Hooking up the C wire despite an old furnace wasn't difficult, just some wires to strip. It was an easy task to teach my 17 year old son on. Then a small patch of the wall, some paint, and all set! Finally, much easier to add/modify schedules to save energy.

We have 2 AC units and each unit has a google nest. It's really easy to use and really convenient. If I left the house and forgot to turn up the air so we don't waste electricity you can log right into the app and change it. When we are downstairs and we know it's getting close to bed time we will go in through the app and change the upstairs to make it cooler. LOVE THIS!

The Service at the Lancaster store is terrible. This product is probably fine it just does not work with my model of furnace. When I went to return it I was first told I could not return it because I only have 3 days to return. Then I was told 2 weeks and then I was told I could not return it because it was opened (how else was I to know it would not work). I have installed 3 nests at other homes. In this case, I called customer support and they said I needed some extra wiring. That took more than a week to get and I was out of town for 2 weeks when it came. Anyway, the manager refused to credit my account and take the return. He and his manager were cranky and not even listening. The irony is, while we waiting to addressed I was telling my mom why I always chose Best Buy -- because their customer service is so good. But no more. Not sure if it is just this store or the whole company is changing but I will just order on line as that is easier for me anyway since I travel for work. I try to shop local to help out but not if they are mean.

The different modes that can be automatically scheduled throughout the day enable me to save money on peak energy times. I highly recommend using eco mode when you can. Make sure you have a C-Wire before installing

I dislike using Google Home. I miss the Nest app. The thermostat itself works great my home is more evenly heated and it’s easy to use one else you learn it. I set up a schedule when ig first installed everything and can no long find where to edit the schedule. Otherwise it’s a nice smart home tool.

Difficult install ever for the Geek Squad. Unit works fine once you understand how to program it day by day. Probably just best to keep it simple in setting up the program.

Product is great. Easy/quick to install. I’m sure there are other thermostats with more features at a higher price point, but for my small home and basic needs this works great. Interface is simple and user friendly. Thinking of getting my parents one for Christmas. Also if you have a Pg&e account you can claim a $50 rebate, which makes this product a must get.

i replaced an old traditional thermostat with the Nest. It's working well. I had to call a company to install it ("Hello Tech" for $99) I like that i can change the temperature from my phone I also had to buy the Nest plate to put behind as the thermostat is small and did not cover the hole in the wall left after removing the old thermostat

I really enjoyed being able to set the temperature when I wasn't home. Setting up is a little complicated if you have no experience, but managable. I needed to connect a power connector to the thermostat, but it lasted a while until I had time to do it.

Google nest is so nice. I can control the temp of the house from literally anywhere. Had it in multiple homes that I’ve owned. worth it.
