Very easy to link the thermostat with the app. No need to hire an HVAC person to install. I have no idea how heat/AC systems work and i installed it in 15-20 minutes. Works great.

It is usually on Eco when I am not home so when I'm coming home from her activities; I can change the temp. to meet our needs. I am still learning how to use it effectively, but it is worth it.

I had the Nest 2nd gen (from before Google purchased Nest) and I expected it to allow me to set whatever schedule I wanted. I wouldn't have bought this if I had known this beforehand. A majority of the cost was covered by a rebate, so I didn't dislike it enough to return it given it didn't cost much.

Besides using ready-made presets like Comfort, Eco, and Sleep, you can create custom presets. This is helpful for other times you might like a specific temperature that’s not included in your thermostat’s existing presets. Nest thermostat to the rescue.

I followed the instructions and now I can control my thermostat from my phone. My wife really likes it because she can just tell goggle to set the thermostat. I like it when I walk by and see what the temp is set at.

This one won't let you add a secondary thermometer/sensor nor comes with the backplate, you would need to get a backplate separately. The only reasonable use case I see for this, would be to upgrade my rental home or something similar. If I'm effectively using this everyday, I would go with the higher model and get the rebates from my local energy provider.

This thermostat has been working perfectly and even the accessibility with the use of smart phones is also great and perfect to cool down the house before I get home

I had someone professionally set it up for me, very easy setup. It took no longer than 30 mins from start to finish for each. If you are looking for something cost efficient compared to other models/brands, you can’t go wrong with this one!

When you manually adjust the temperature, the temperature will stick until the next scheduled temperature change. With a temperature preset, you can easily set a specific temperature that you repeatedly use a bit faster than manually adjusting the temperature dial. Besides using ready-made presets like Comfort, Eco, and Sleep, you can create custom presets. I can adjust it with my phone and set a schedule using the app. Installation was super easy. I love that the display turns on as I pass it so I can see what the temperature is set at and then turns back off once I move past it.

Wish these new units would sync with Nest app like my other units but I guess Google is shutting down the Nest app soon.

With this one fully integrated into the Google Home app, I only have to go to one app for all my smart appliances. A very stylish look and it operates well.

Very easy to set up and use and the remote access via WiFi is very handy and convenient. Installation is simple for most with some DIY skills. But a common wire that delivers a constant 24 volts is necessary for the thermostat to function ideally without cycling the heat or AC unnecessarily.

Very simple to install and can control via wifi. Make sure to turn off breaker that feeds the old thermomstat. Instructions were easy and they even have a bunch of turtorials on youtube.

I have been a Nest user for 12 years so I was already a fan. I had my HVAC replaced and needed a new thermostat and saw this one. It's perfect, because I didn't need another learning thermostat. Great gap purchase. Same user friendly features of the learning model. Great design and functionality.
