      Hi Yoooooo, thanks for sharing some details of your issue with using the Nest Thermostat and we’re sorry to learn that it’s no longer working after a few months of usage. This is not the experience we want you to have. If your Nest Thermostat won’t turn on, the batteries could have drained or there could be a power issue. We suggest replacing the batteries with high-quality 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries from a known manufacturer.     Had them come to install this with the nest power connector to no avail was unsuccessful. They claimed this was very easy to install that I/anyone would be able to install in a short period of time. yet (they) the tech was not. very disappointing.

    Like Google Wifi this does not work either. Do not trust any of the positive reviews as this product does not work. It is not compatible with your HVAC and if you do get it connected it won't connect to your wifi. There is no support at all. Do not waste your time and money.

      While the Nest Thermostat is compatible with 85% of HVAC systems and designed to receive the needed power from the heating and cooling wires, some systems like heat-only, or cool-only heat pumps may require a common (C) wire to operate.

    Just got it but as of now i hate it. It chooses temp called eco friendly temp. Trying so hard to understand it failing. I juat want to be able to have ""fan on auto''' and change the temp as needed. Icant beat the program. Im losing and mu have to return.

    Away feature does not work!

    The automatic away feature on these does not work. I was on with customer service for 30 minutes and they could not fix it. So, it does not detect when I leave my home to lower the temperature. Water of money.

    Had to return! Kept getting error from app stating nest was offline, even after contacting google for help, it didn’t work. I was able to adjust temp from the nest itself just not from the app, which defeats the purpose of a smart thermostat to me.

      Connectivity issues for Nest Thermostat may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, distance of the device from the router, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby and other Wi-Fi settings. Also, if the system is not giving enough power to thermostat to charge

    I bought 2 of these units. Installed one properly, it worked just once in starting AC unit, then stopped working. I checked online for any clue, but couldn't make it work. Returning both units.

    Old Nest is better

    Old Nest Thermostat is way better. The google app is horrible and wants to link your personal accounts into one account. I just want to control my thermostat. I will be returning this and getting a different thermostat.

    Costly Thermostat, it will ruin your equipment.

    Do not buy this thermostat. It will ruin your compressor and it will cost you thousands of dollars to repair it.

    Nest Home Thermostat

    This device would NOT. Connect to our WiFi in our place in Tahoe. Returned. The main (3rd generation Nest) is MUCH BETTER. It does cost twice as much. Nest needs to market upgrades/repair parts for it however.

    Batteries need replace every month Auc conditioner comes on when it’s 65 degrees inside and said inside temp is 90 degrees and can’t be fixed without taking it off the wall

    I’ve had this device since…November and I’m yet to use it. Why? Because my home is old and I need an adaptor so it doesn’t short circuit. When I finally get it up and running, I’ll change my review.

      Hello there, JimmyNeutron. We appreciate your feedback on Nest Thermostat. Nest uses motion detected by Google Nest Protects and Google Nest thermostats to automatically switch to Home or Away mode, but not to trigger Nest Secure’s alarm. Nest Thermostat detects occupancy, but not intrusion. With intrusion, you need to be more certain that it is a person in the room to avoid false alarms. Also, devices must be certified for security to sound the alarm.

    Looking at the product, it is not worth the price or the product. Battery is too low, didnt have a protector to put against the wall abd overall not worth it.

    I was only able to control it in my iPhone for a month after that it won’t connect to my iPhone anymore, not a smart buy at all, I should believe the previous people reviews
