Google Thermostat

Before this thermostat I just had a normal thermostat where you couldn't schedule when it would operate. It has significantly reduced my heating and cooling bills

I don’t like the difficult programming without detailed instructions. They made it way too complicated. I have two in the house [2 furnaces & ac units] and too often they don’t acknowledge when I’m home or away properly.

The c-wire is to assist with battery life is somewhat confusing. The battery life is short lived without the c-wire which is a black wire.

I like the fact I can program the temperatures and the home/away works great.

The design is very sleek and the front is a mirror which I didnt expect. I blew a fuse installing this so make sure your power is off before installing this. A cost effective option to the 3rd Gen Nest.

But using the Google Home app makes it a little easier but its definitely not as user friendly.

Though the Nest Thermostat doesn't have a touch screen, you can use the touch bar on the right side to control your thermostat. You can swipe up to raise the temperature, swipe down to lower it, and tap to confirm. The display will show you how many minutes until your desired temperature is reached.
- Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu.
- Swipe up or down to select an option.
- Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection.

Fantastic integration with Google Home and super convenient to have my thermostat automatically adjust to save power when I'm not home, and also to be able to control it with a voice assistant.

Most electric providers even give discounts for the product which makes the price even more appealing. I have installed 3 of these and they are very easy to install, the instructions are very easy to follow.

You have to be careful during the installation when touching the low voltage wires. It can cause your AC to blow a fuse. You need to completely unplug your AC before installing.

Glad I went with the more affordable one. Seems the same to me and the aesthetics of this thermostat looks amazing on my wall. The mirror finish is a nice touch. 10/10 set up couldn’t be any easier.

Don't have a C wire which makes it so the motion sensor does not work when you approach it or the fan will not turn on when the thermostat is on but besides that is works fine.

Google app is also nice but not absolutely necessary.
