I currently hold an EPA certificate for HVAC. August 2020 will be be two years with my two Nest E’s . Love Google product’s , currently have them all . How much more learning does a stupid Nest thermostat need to learn . If I set the temperature to 77 degrees “I want 77 degrees “Not 75 or 76!! . . It should be as a consumer if we prefer for it to learn or not to learn. Just added over a 1000 SQFT of insulation to my attic, now my home stays much cooler . According to the Nest E it wants to keep cooling 2/3 degrees from my desired temp . I’ve reset it back to factory specs . The next step is going to be in the trash . These Nest’s thermostats think they can you $$ on your utility bill . No!! Just give me my desired temperature & stop trying to fool me with its eco, leaf and all the other nonsense that goes with it .

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that the learning feature of Nest Thermostat E has caused some frustration.
Nest Thermostat E is designed to help you keep your home temperature at the levels you prefer. It does this by trying to learn from how you adjust the thermostat over time. You can actually turn off the learning of your Nest Thermostat E by disabling the Auto-Schedule feature in the settings of the thermostat.
On your thermostat:
Go to Settings > Nest Sense > Auto-Schedule > Off.
In the Nest app:
Go to Nest Thermostat E > Settings > Auto-Schedule > Off
After disabling the feature, you may also clear your existing schedule by going to Settings > Reset > Schedule on the thermostat to prevent it from automatically changing your temperature.
