The constant alerting and fidgeting with the device makes it not worth it for me. While it did do what it promised, I didn’t care for all the features

Good Product but has limitation where you can use it

Always felt hot and the thermistor displayed a much lower temp. couldn't set a running time and have to run it off manually... very annoying.

Google Nest E was not compatible with my Lennox furnace or Amana AC unit. Cooling rarely was accurate. AC unit continuously short cycled on and off after a minute. Screen regularly showed a delay in achieving the programmed temperature. Thought about bringing in a Google Pro but it costed less to replace the thermostats. Replaced with Honeywell Home T-3 Programmable thermostats. I don't have the ability to adjust from smart phone but the thermostats perfectly.

Be careful, you can not connect if the power go out at the residence. We use for remote heating and cooling. Issue was power went out, no wifi and we couldn't control the furnace or monitor the temperature.

Just search issues with Google Nest, which I wish I did before purchasing. It has some green eco mandates software built in. I have done everything, checked wiring, changed schedule, deleted schedule, locked, reset. The thermostat will not let me cool my house below 72 degrees. Seems Google is forcing me to save energy and does not matter if my GF experiences hot flashes and wants temp lowered...out of luck. It looks cool but basically worthless.

It's ok. Installation was a bit of a challenge. For one thing I have large hands and it was difficult to get the wires into tiny hold Somewhat overprice. But Nest support was very good

After purchasing this product and experiencing what I have with it I would suggest to anyone out there not to buy it. This product did not live up to expectation as it was wired by a professional for my 3 year old furnace and less than 1 year old AC system and to say ti preformed poorly is an understatement especially when the Midwest experienced the chill of the last week of January 2019. Unlike the standard thermostat which runs on double AA or AAA this relies on power from wiring and would still find a way to not keep charged with 24 volts. I called Nest whom basically told me that they would not replace these units which in other words means this product is garbage and we do not want to give out 2 more pieces of garbage without getting paid. My recommendation is go with a decent digital standard thermostat but if you are like me and would really like to have something you can control remotely to take a chance with another thermostat.

So I had lived in a townhouse that had a Nest E Thermostat. I had installed it, life was great. Moved into a new condo and was hoping to have the same results. Installing it was fine, and had even gone through the compatability checker to see if all would be well. It said I would be. So I went ahead and installed it. The next day, we had problems. I lost wifi connectivity. Now all of a sudden, I need a "C wire". I didn't understand why because I know that the Nest E at my old place didn't require one. It has been working like a champ. It may have to do with my furnace... I don't know. In any event, I will be returning this tomorrow. Do not use the "fan trick", I tried it and I was not getting any cool air. I had to revert back to the original thermostat, which cools normally! Do not waste your time.

Picked this up and went through install procedures which were not bad. But then it wouldn't work and basically froze. Assuming it was my fault went through hours of trouble shooting and forum searches only to find there were hundreds like me. I had no desire to go weeks with out our system and put back in the old one.

This device stopped working just a few months after I purchased it. In the few months that it did work, it was great, but ever since it has been randomly turning off and remaining off for about an hour before coming back on. It is also unable to see any wifi networks making it a dumb thermostat as I cannot control it with my phone or google assistant devices.

I’m not too happy with the ease of use and/or performance. I feel like my house it’s a bit warmer now as it is a little harder to maintain the cool temperature.

I keep changing the temperature when I'm home and away accordingly but some how this manages to lower the temperature below my setting for no apparantly reason. I've set it at 73 when going to sleep and at 7 in the morning it's at 70 so it feels cold and I have to turn it back up manually. I've left my house and selected eco mode or clicked on away and while no one is at home its again below the temp I set it to. That's not very eco friendly.

Easy to install. Love the aesthetics. Not sure yet about functionality - seems to have made up its mind that we like it really hot at night. Putting in old t’stat over the weekend to compare.

Unfortunately, it does not work for my house. I have the normal version at my house and have had no issue. This one doesn't have enough range of compatibility.

This thermostat looked nice but did not work with our system to my disappointment. Support help line was not great. Took a long time to get a hold of someone plus not knowledgeable help.

As stated in headline, it worked well until it failed in just over one year. Otherwise would be a 4 star product.

Bought this thermostat for my home and I’m more than happy with it..... the nest app is straight forward and to navigate.... Overall this product is very user friendly
