I finally bought a Nest thermostat after years of wanting one. I like the simple interface that sits in front of a smart thermostat. It is nice to be able to adjust the temp from my smartphone and iPad.

This is a great product that can help save money and automate your home. It was easy to install, easy to set up a schedule and very easy to connect to a Google Home.

If you want the energy efficiency factor, but don't want the flashy Nest Learning Thermostat then this is a must have. Took me less than 5 minutes to install and had up and running in no time out the box. I also was able to get a local rebate for $49.99 which makes this a steal at $100. I also have my Google Mini connected to my thermostat so I can control the temp verbally. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.

Just as good as the 3rd Gen. Bought this unit for the new house to blend into the background and it does just that. The operation is the same as the metal one and the text does not appear as muted/hazy in real life as they do online. The only difference between the two versions is the app styling. Otherwise, super sleek, easy to control, and convenient.

I really recommend this product it’s saved my life my old Thermostat was working ok but I have a 2 story house and my heater/AC worked a lot trying to get to the temperature and I was not able to see what it was. It was either too cold or too hot this thermostat save me a lot of money now I am so comfortable in my room

This is my first Nest and it is very awesome. Most of the controls will be done on the phone app, so a fancy touchscreen LCD screen was unnecessary. I like the frosted look of the display, even though most of the time I won't be needing to look at it.

just installed this to my old 2 wire heat only system worked great. cant wait to see how it saves me $$$ anyone who says you cant you sure can just look up installation of nest e to 2 wire and watch youtube video so easy my dog could do it.

I love the flexibility these thermostats give you. Being able to control them through Google assistant from anywhere is awesome. I bought two of these when they came with a Google home mini and the only thing that disappoints me is the lack of remote temperature sensors. Otherwise a solid product with a simple and clean app. Install was easy didn't need the c wire.

At first it would not consistently turn on the furnace. Often after a second try it did (lower temperature, then up again). Did not expect it but I needed a C-wire with my Rheem furnace, model RGDD-08NE-GR. After adding a C-wire it works fine... I like it better than the original Nest, it is not so obtrusive.

I found the Nest thermostat to be unfortunately inadequate in response and WiFi connection. Additionally, the app often failed us. The router was close by, it was reset again and again; worked for a bit, disconnected from WiFi, again and again. I switched to the Honeywell T9 with room sensors and what an amazing change. I recommend the Honeywell T9 system.

Great thermostat easy installation and easy to set up, you don't need to be a pro to install it anyone can do it.

This is my 5th Nest and I always had the more expensive ones. This one performs just as well, even though it is lacking the color options of the others. I know that there might be other differences, but I've come to like this better. It blends right into the wall, which is nice since I rarely actually go to the thermostat for anything. I do everything on the app. I set the schedules and never think about it. The app is the same app, so to me, there's no reason outside of wanting the look of the other, to get the more expensive one. It's not $80 better looking to me, so these will be the Nests that I get going forward.

The Nest Thermostat E is a great upgrade to the standard programmable thermostat. It was easy to install and that app is great for setting the fine details like schedules.

Works so well and it is super easy to setup and use, they even have wiring diagrams on their website to make it fool proof.

I still have this I was unable to use it for my heater and they wouldn’t let me return it

I love this thermostat, I got it for $80 on sale after my local power company gave me a $50 rebate, I don't use many of the smart features I mostly just love the fact I can turn my AC and heater off and on with my phone or iPad!

I installed this thermostat and it worked fine until it did not. Did not know what was wrong but put the old one back and things worked ok. After a few months I put the Nest back on and again everything was ok for several months. Then it quit. In the back of the book it says that sometimes not enough power reaches the thermostat and it needs a power wire run to "C" -- at the cost of hiring a repairman to run a wire from the furnace to the thermostat. No thank you. My system is now running fine with my old thermostat, Haven't decided what to do with the Nest.

We went on the Nest website to confirm compatibility and were happy to find out this was compatible with our system. When we went to install it, we were unsure where to put certain wires. Contacted Nest for help and after 3 hours, mostly because the people didn’t know how to use their own phone system, it was determined that our system was in fact not compatible, but we could get 20% off a compatible device for our problems. When we called to get the discount, we were told this wasn’t true. If I could return my Nest smoke detectors after all of these issues, I would. STAY AWAY FROM NEST.

You can operate this thermostat from your phone. It rocks. The tells you how many hours you've had it on each day. Took a little while to install but other than that it's been good

Really Really bad experience - I read the review and was mildly convinced but my electrician recommended the Nest and installed it quickly. My wrong. After 2 weeks I could not see the unit on my phone while travelling. Everything was perfectly connected in the house and work flawlessly except for the NEST. Upon my return and tech support, they agree that the unit was bad. And they will send a replacement. After 3 weeks and countless email/chats, I still do not have a replacement. The issue (i was told was escalated) and the chat people cannot do anything for me - it seems that the request is stuck somewhere in the system and nobody has the ability to get it sorted. I am ready to rip it off the wall and get a proper thermostat.
