This is a great design but did not work with my AC/furnace. Google has an app for phone and great customer service for you to reach out to them to see if it will work for you or not. Recommend doing that before buying.

I am not handy at all. I was able to install it myself by watching the video online as listed on the Nest website. All you need is a screw driver. I have not really explored all the options, I am just happy with pretty basic stuff such as controlling it via Google devices from anywhere in the house. I used to turn off the heat before leaving the house, now I just turn off the heat as soon as I am up using google home since I don't have to go downstairs. Ever since I got this my heat usage has gone down as I can control the temperature so easily anytime. The option of setting schedules for each day by time is pretty cool and easy to do.

My wife and I purchased this as a small upgrade for our first home, thinking it would look nice fornresale more than anything. We are impressed with how easy it was to set up, and how much we use the various features. Our favorite is that the thermostat learns, and created a schedule on it's own based on our usage. It only took a few days for the initial schedule to start, and it slowly adjusts. This means that the temperature tends to adjust automatically for bed and sleep, without ever setting it up - though you can set one up. The app is super easy to use, and extremely convenient. I've adjusted the temperature from a couch, or from my dinner table with guests, or bumped up the temperature because I was going to be out anyway after work. Pairing with a Google home, which mine came with for free, means I can also just set a temperature by speaking. These features are convenient, but also saving us money. I've already noticed a difference in my power bill in the OK summer.

The Nest E appears to have most of the features of the other versions. It was very easy to install DIY and the frosted lens helps it to blend in with its surroundings.

Google Nest Smart Thermostat E was very easy to install. Works great and is easy to use from its wall location or on your smart phone.

We bought this for our daughter because the thermostat in her place wasn’t working. It’s awesome...easy to install and use, and has reduced her power bill as well.

I’m not an expert, but so far it looks way better than the black one some of my friends got on their homes. I love that I can control my homes temperature from my phone.

The install and program of this device was super easy. I can now monitor and control from anywhere. Hoping that it will reduce my energy cost.

I have not clue what I am doing when it comes to home improvement type things, but this could not have been easier to install. paired easily with the app. we love it

I installed 3 of these thermostats for HVAC "zonal" control. The physical installation and use is about as easy as it can be. The only minor irritation was regarding setting them up on my wireless network in that I have a fairly long, complicated network password interspersed with upper/lower case, numbers and symbols. The manner in which the wheel-selector is manipulated to select upper/lower case, numbers and symbols is a little bit over-intensive I thought... more so than say my Amazon FireStick and other similar devices I have setup recently... still very easy overall though. Love 'Em!

The purchase of the Nest Thermostat was an easy decision after speaking with the Sales rep. The convenience of turning my heat up or down by using the APP is a great feature. The Nest also figures when no one is home and is a great compliment to my new energy efficient furnace.

What can I say...if you have a thermostat in your home, you should get the Nest. Super easy to install and program. Download the app and monitor the temp and settings from your phone. Too cold and you're still in bed? Use your phone under the covers to turn the heat on without having to get up. Set the Eco mode to make sure you maximize your dollars. The Nest uses your phone to know if you are home or not and can adjust based on that. We just got AC, so now we can program that with our phones too. Great product. A++

I can't speak on the money saved by owning this product, because I haven't had it for long enough to actually see a difference on my bill. However, this device is beyond convenient, I purchased it because my old thermostat broke and I figured why not get the latest and greatest. This device lets me control my temperature from anywhere I want, and I can ask my google assistant to set the temperature for me. It looks great on my wall (the old one was an eye sore) and this device doesn't take batteries like my old one, instead it uses a built in battery that auto-recharges when needed.

works perfectly with the cables from my former thermostat, easy to install, it has almost the same functionalities of its Learning version.

Was easy to install and set up. Enjoy being able to control it from my phone. Keeps the house comfortable whether cooling or heating.

Love that we can control the temperature from anywhere and it responds well and is easy to use. Definitely an upgrade from a non-programmable thermostat.
