Efficient Smart Option
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this one after finding out the Ecobee thermostat was not compatible with my system, You don't have to have a C wire to use the Nest which is great. Setup was easy. All you have to do it connect wires to appropriate terminals. The only downside is that there is not HomeKit compatibility, but it's owned by Google, so you can't expect much there. It does work with Alexa and Google Home though which is nice. Interface is fairly simple so it's not too complicated to use

Nest E is the best!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a "smart" Honeywell thermostat with this, and the Nest E is the best unit ever! Smart enough to know when you aren't home, to adjust to ECO mode. Easy to manage remotely. There's also utility rebates you can apply for. Just buy it!

Works (almost) as well as Nest Pro, but cheaper
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the regular Nest (Pro) in my previous home, but decided to save a little money and get the Nest E in my new home, and I'm perfectly happy with this one. Honestly I like the look of the white casing and "soft" display. The only thing I think the full-price Nest Pro does better is that the whole screen changes color when it's heating or cooling so it's very obvious, and with the E it's a little more subtle (which is a pro and con). Otherwise this E works great and I think it's a better deal.

Good value
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got this with the rebate thru my utility company. Easy setup. Works well with Google home. It disconnects from wifi on occasion. Extender is right next to it. Not sure on that.

Good option for multi zone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These look good, more subtle than the nest 3.0. I’m using an all black 3.0 for my main controller and 3 of these “e” types for zone control around the house. The feel is almost as nice as the flagship product too. My only concern is a general nest issue, they don’t seem to do much interoperability. I could be wrong, but in my multilevel home, the thermostat below will spike the temperature of the area above (whenever heat-on cycles overlap) and it sometimes causes some overshot of the heat targets. (I have a hydronic radiator system which means the response times are slower). This model is certainly worth the price considering the value you get. Buyers be aware that it doesn’t have as many inputs as it’s big brother 3.0, so check specs against your needs.

so far, so great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so, initially, we just purchased these because we liked the clean look of them. turns out, they work pretty darn well too. our heating/cooling bill is lower, it has all sorts of cool features, you can control it from your phone and we get rebates from the electric company. why wouldn't you buy one (we bought two)? one word of caution. i prefer to leave the home/away from home feature off as our thermostats are located in such a way that they don't see a lot of traffic by them so it doesn't always recognize that someone is home.

Easy to install and reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I'm an IT guy I like my personal tech to be easy to use and reliable. I don't want them to become a "hobby". This thermostat is hooked to a gas furnace with A/C. It replaced the old thermostat easily and was very easy to configure - it was fun, not frustrating. It has been running 5 months without a single issue. One improvement to suggest: the usage (run time) history should also store the low and high temps for the day to provide a better view into the relationship between the usage and weather.

Good Thermostat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to install... At msrp it's fairly priced and a good deal... Great deal if on sale at least 10%... Looks good (imo)... Plastic, but feels well built and of good quality... Had excellent experience with customer service...

Can’t Switch Between Heat and A/C
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t know this before I bought it, but this lower model can’t switch between oil heat and central air, only works for central air. Had to upgrade to the next version. For actual use, 5 stars

Quality Affordable Smart Thermostat
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Main reason for purchase was to have the ability to adjust from bedroom at night time. Setup is straightforward and easy, I recommend setting a Mac address reservation on router for static ip. Aside from that I can adjust away from home and easily use the app, exactly what I wanted and no need to configure router settings for remote access. I use a Verizon hotspot with a slow connection (600kbps once monthly limit is up) and it works well regardless of speed cap.

Operates as advertized
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nest was a upgrade from a standard 5/2 programmable thermo on a F/A Gas furnace. All features seem to work and I enjoy Alexa changing the temperature at my command. I know/knew that the bland design/readout is a design feature but if it had a little more brightness/sharpness in the readout, another star it would have received.

Cheaper but still a nest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve bought several nest thermostats for apt rentals and this was my first E version. I must say it’s almost just the same as the regular one for a lot less $. It has the same features and still looks great while saving money.
