Thermostat was broken so instead of calling an AC repair person went out and bought this and within 30 minute had it installed and up and running. Easy instructions and guided through the process of set up. I did not label the wires so luckily my wires were colored correctly. So pay attention when if DIY-ing.

only had this for a few weeks now, so still waiting to see if my usage goes down over the winter. I really have to say that the installation was pretty idiot proof, if you follow the directions that is. i really like that i can use the app to turn on the heat when i get out of work at 4am, and by the time i get home it's all toasty warm and ready. Another thing i like is that by sensing when my phone is in the house and know that i'm at home.

Installation is easy although they do warn you of compatibility issues with older systems. Our home is new so it was easy to install. Operation through the app is easy enough. Have not had any outages on the app. I will note that for some reason, even when we are home, the system will inexplicably switch to eco mode. Smart home integration with google home was easy to set up with the hub as well as on my mobile device.

This has made my life so much easier. Literally just go into my app if I ever forget to turn off my a/c (saves me money). Set a schedule on my app so I can also have my ideal temperatures as I walk into my home (also saves me money). And NEST also sends out monthly reports free of charge showing the monthly usage and comparing it to previous months before (also to save me more money). It is compatible with most a/c units and installation really wasn't difficult at all as well.

You can get this at a discount using your utility provider discount offers. Just check your utility company for offers. Easy to install if you're wiring is compatible. it takes no more than 5 minutes to install and get this thing working. it is however plastic and not metal like its more expensive sibling.

Functional really well. Like that it gives freedom to set the thermostat on the fly and from anywhere.

Had this for about a month. Phone connectivity is good. The away mode on iOS is meh at best. (Yes it has location always and background refresh on) Install was super easy Setup was easy It does like to do a bigger temp swing than my old dumb thermostat up to 3 degrees on a given setting My schedule is too complex for the auto learning to be helpful. Overall it does save money. Programs easily and I can mess w it on my phone.

This nest thermostat is really great. Got my first heating bill since running this for a month and my energy usage has already declined.

This is a good entry Nest Thermostat. If you don't need all the functions of version 3 then this is great. This is also good for a 2nd home or even a 2nd system. install is simple and Nest just does a really good job on their products. Even providing the screws and screwdriver needed to install.

Bought this with a google home mini. It’s like I am in Star Trek... Hey google, set the living room temperature to 68 degrees. Awesome!

This took a bit of learning. Once it learns your patterns, this works well. Expect to spend a week adjusting. After that, it is awesome.

I love how easy it is to make adjustments. You can set a schedule for each day of the week. You can adjust temperature from your smartphone. You can set it for away when you aren’t home. You can also set the temperature before you return home so the house will be warm by the time you get home. Same thing for cooling in the summer.

Easy to install, and works great with Alexa. Had an issue with wiring, the Nest support team was helpful and responsive.
