Pretty cool smart home device. I really got it for the look, the mobile app is cool, but not practical. Set it and leave it.

I chose the Nest E over the Nest 3 due to cost difference. Installation was simple, thanks to the Nest website. After installing and living with it for a couple of days, I believe I prefer it over the 3. The screen isn't as bright, and the colors don't pop like the 3. It just lives in the background, on the wall, unobtrusive. It works like the 3, but but you hardly notice it and don't think about it when you walk passed due to the muted brightness. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a new thermostat.

This smart thermostat is compact, pleasant to look at and looks as if my home was built with it.

I moved into a new home in November and decided to replace the Honeywell thermostat in February with this Nest. Both of these thermostats allow for scheduling, but the two big differences are that the Nest will not kick on when it knows you're not home and using your smartphone to adjust the temperature from anywhere. The other thing I love about the Nest is that it shows you a history of usage by day, detail energy consumption by the hour, and energy saving when you're not home.

Already have the nest 3rd gen and picked this one up for the downstairs thermostat, working like a charm keeping the temps right

Took a little time to make sure it was connected properly, but very happy with the ease of use and house-wide control it provides.
