The next thermostat works well “most” of the time. I don’t like to set a schedule since schedules are very rigid. I was hoping that the nest would actually begin to learn my habits in the house, however after 2 hrs of having them, it doesn’t seem to be. I have to constantly adjust the settings. If the nest says it is set to a higher temp, no matter where you place the sensors, it won’t matter.

It links with my Nest thermostat and allows me to monitor the temperature in every room. My bedroom gets hot in the morning and the office gets hot during the afternoon so this allows me to prioritize different room and adjust my thermostat automagically throughout the day. Satisfied.

The Nest Temperature Sensor connects to your 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E over Bluetooth Low Energy and has a range of about 50 ft (15 m) so it should work in most homes. This range can be reduced based on a number of factors including the number of walls between your sensor and thermostat, the construction materials in your home, any large appliances, or competing wireless signals.
