I can't ask good what's the temp in a specific room with this. I can see the temp on the nest app, however.

Placed at about shoulder height and added to my Nest app. Don't see much of a difference in the room I placed in. Will try other locations, but so far not impressed.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 of the 3 in the box stopped working 2 weeks after purchase. they would lose connection to the thermostat, so you would have to take the battery out, put it back in and re add it to nest. then they would work for a day or 2 and drop connection to the thermostat again. Google needs a better, powered solution that does what these do via wifi.

In some cases, a range issue or wireless interference can cause the sensors to disconnect from your thermostat. If this happens, your thermostat will automatically default to using its own temperature sensors.
Here are some troubleshooting steps that could help resolve the connectivity issue:
- Try moving your sensor a bit closer to your thermostat. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away.
- Make sure there isn’t anything between the sensor and your thermostat that could block the connection such as mirrors and large appliances like refrigerators.
- Check the battery charge. The Nest app will send you a notification before the battery is fully drained, so you should have plenty of time to replace it.

In practice, connectivity was difficult (impossible) to maintain, even in a room immediately below the thermostat. I've attempted all the troubleshooting techniques (replace battery, forget and re-pair, etc) and now am unable to even get the Nest thermostat to recognize the sensor two feet away. Very disappointing.

For example, "Night" is always from 9PM to 7AM. Doesn't matter what YOUR schedule is or where you live. You are stuck with this time range. If you need more control, which is likely why you are buying sensors, don't use a Nest thermostat and sensor. Look at another "smart" solution.

I have three thermostats in my house and two of them are in locations that just don't make sense. They aren't in the area that the applicable ac unit covers. These sensors make up for that. It is easy to add them to one, two, or all of the thermostats. It is easy to choose which sensor I want the thermostat to use as the temperature point.
