Less than satisfactory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does not work as advertised. It forces the temperature of the entire house to be same as a single room. Not effective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Nest Support
Posted .The Nest Temperature Sensor is designed to allow comfort in a room of your choosing by using that room as the ambient temperature the Nest will heat or cool to your set temperature. Because this uses a specific room as the ambient temperature, this can affect the temperature in the rest of the home.

||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase was a waste of money. The device constantly disconnects from the network and doesn’t communicate with the thermostat. Don’t waste your money. I stopped trying to get it to work.

Posted .Hi MDNOLA,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing an issue with Nest Temperature Sensor.
If you’re experiencing a connectivity issue with Nest Temperature Sensor after the setup, the steps below could help resolve it:
- Try moving your sensor closer to your thermostat. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away.
- Make sure there isn’t anything between the sensor and your thermostat that could block the connection such as mirrors and large appliances like refrigerators.
- Check the battery charge. The Nest app will send you a notification before the battery is fully drained, so you should have plenty of time to replace it.
Here are some additional troubleshooting steps:
- Remove the battery from the sensor for 5 minutes, then replace it.
- Reset network settings on the thermostat
- Restart thermostat
- Reconnect to network
- Run a connection test
We understand how frustrating such an issue can be and we're here to do our best to improve your experience with Nest Temperature Sensor. Please feel free to reach out us via the following support link if you'd like further assistance: https://support.google.com/googlenest/contactflow

Not worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seemed like a good idea. My bedroom is always to hot or to cold. It works as it is supposed to. Only issue is that the rest of the house keeps on getting colder or warmer until the sensor reaches its temperature. Waste of energy if you ask me. It's going back.

Great product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have (1) thermostat in the center of my house and suffer from varying room temperatures. Our bedroom can go down to 66 degrees at night when our thermostat says 70 degrees. I just recently purchased a Nest 3rd generation thermostat along with (3) Nest temperature sensors. Last night was the first night using it and our bedroom stayed at 70 degrees! You just go into the settings and tap which sensor you want to go off of and the temperature you want it set at! So easy! I would highly recommend these thermostat sensors to anyone who owns the Nest 3rd generation thermostat and suffers from various temperatures in different rooms! I understand that previous generations are not compatible with this...However, I don't think that it's fair to bash the review on these sensors because it's not a surprise that they don't work on previous generations. Nest states that they only work on 3rd generation thermostats. Does it stink? Yes, and I hope they can come out with something in the future for previous generation owners. But, please do not rate this product bad because of this.

So so
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not so sure I'm a fan. It doesn't have a very good range. If you have more than one wall separating this from the thermostat, I couldn't get it to connect well.
