Let’s you control the temperature of 4 locations (3 sensors, 1 thermostat) based on time of day. Allows me to keep the living room and kitchen areas cool during the day and at night the bedroom stays exactly at the temp set. Perfect if you’re tired of adjusting between day and night to maintain comfort levels throughout the day. Multi story homes I believe are most beneficial but really nice everywhere.

what a utility and usefull .I used to have hard timw.knowing whih room is folder. Nowi can pop this babat in in cold areans manage heat very well. My bath room was cold and had frozen pipe. Onxemi installed sensor , i can monitor teno from any where.

If you have a Nest thermostate, this sensor is a must. It is like having a separate sensor in your bedroom. I am surprised that when I have it set between 9pm to 7am, the bedroom is on average 2 degrees cooler than the living room where the thermostat is located. Perfect.

We use this in our upstairs bedroom, which gets a lot hotter than downstairs where the Nest thermostat is. We can set the Nest to trigger the AC/Heat based on the sensor instead of the main thermostat, but it must be manually done. And when you want to use the main thermostat again, you need to remember to change it back. There's no way to program switching automatically. But regardless, it's been a big help and is super easy to setup - it could just be a bit "smarter".

I’ve got a long ranch and the nest thermostat is in the hallway so I’d have temp ranges +/- 5 to 8 degrees. Wasn’t sure about these but am glad I bought them. They’re pretty cool they show up in the app and you can set schedules for when each should be the master for temp. Glad I bought and work great.

My wife and I got this temperature sensor to put in our infant son's room. So far it has worked out great! His room gets a little colder than the rest of the house, so we set our heater to turn on once his room reaches a specific temperature. The sensor works exactly as we need it to. Overall, we're very satisfied with our purchase.

Our house has an ancient HVAC system and our upstairs is always much hotter than downstairs. We put this second sensor in a central location upstairs which helps regulate the temperature up there better. Switching between the main thermostat and this sensor is easy via the app so we have options. We will be upgrading the HVAC soon and will be adding more sensors.

Purchased this additional sensor for upstairs bedroom. I like that I can better regulate upstairs thermostat because our two bedrooms have big variations in temperature. Would have been even better to have this included in our Nest purchase!

Kind of pricey for what it is, but it works greats and it is easy to setup.

Thermostats are usually centrally located in halls. In bedrooms, this can give a non-optimal reading, especially if doors are closed. The Nest sensor allows you to set the temperature on any room, not just where the thermostat is located. It also allows one to change the reading location based on time of day. this is a very useful product for large floors with one thermostat.

Excellent addition to my Nest thermostat as I have 2 thermostat distributing air to 1 room but the other thermostat is placed to the other room. This makes me control which room that the other thermostat will regulate on for the temperature. Easy to setup and small enough not to cause any distraction.

My upstairs office gets really hot during the day while the main floor living room is relatively cool. I love being able to place this sensor on my desk and have the AC activate based on my office temperature. Then I can take it into my bedroom and hang it on the wall to regulate the temperature in the night based on where I’m actually at.

Purchased the three pack because it’s a better deal than just one. The main purpose was to know the temperature in our nursery without needing to go in and check. We sleep cooler than the baby so we use a small space heater. For our purpose it’s great. I really like the nest thermostat. It would be great if some products worked for more than one use ... for example if the camera also could be used as a temperature sensor ... but it’s a solid item for what it does.

Adding this to our nest system was great considering we have a two-story place. Now we can tell what the temperature is upstairs and downstairs, and be able to set the temperature quickly. This also helps us understand what the temperature is like where our dogs sleep so we know if we have to adjust the thermometer to get them a little bit warmer.

some houses just don't have the thermostat in the right place. Always registering too hot or too cold causing the rest of the house to be too hot or too cold. This is the perfect solution to have your thermostat adjust based on a specific room when using the nest thermostat. Super easy setup and virtually no installation work required

Its a remote sensor. Simple tie in to my home nests. Wasn't the most straightforward but once its on the network stays stable. It has helped keeping that room warmer this winter. Unfortunately, Nest doesn't give you a lot of resolution of when to use it. Its give you 4 time windows to refer to it... all preset times that don't necessarily work for everyones schedule. Otherwise, its a remote thermometer... works well.

The temp readings is helpful to know, but would be better if the nest thermostat was smart enough to balance out the temp depending on the various room temps throughout the day. For example one room is hotter in the morning due to the sun snd the other is hotter in evenung for the same reason

bought this for my home and used it for the downstairs thermostat. It gives you temp of the room but does not have functional value. Does not communicate with the thermostat to stay in a particular rang for the room of interest. I don't see the point of having such an instrument. A thermometer would do the same job without the hefty price tag. Its not worth it.

Great addition to ensure that the designated area is the temperature desired as there can be drastic temperature differences across the house from the thermostat. No longer have to worry about what to set the thermostat to, just change the thermostat to control based on the remote sensor of your choice and let it take care of it for you!

In our home, our bedroom seems to always be at a different temperature than the rest of the house -- hotter in the summer and cooler in the winter. It is so nice to be able to have the Google Nest thermostat read the temperature there while we're sleeping and adjust it accordingly. Makes for much more restful nights' sleep.
