All room I can control the temp, I love it, summer time in the morning 4-6 AM hot, winter time same hours will be cold, so can schedule temp what ever you need, you won’t be too cold or too hot make you wake up to switch the temp

Works pretty good. Once it didnt recognize that I was in my room. This allows you to have a lazy Saturday in your room binge watching your favorite shows/movies without having to worry about Nest going in Eco or away mode. Having the senor in my bedroom where I spend most of my time helps to monitor the temp and ensure that I am comfortably cool at all times.

I would definitely recommend this over any other smart thermostat It knows when you leave the house and you can put it on the schedule as well and I love that you can buy additional sensors to sit as the master temperature to go off of

If you don't have split A/C units for individual rooms or levels, this comes in handy to determine which area needs to be cooled at the most important times of the day. A well worthy investment if you can't afford to add another unit to your dwelling.

I have two Nest 3rd generation thermostats in a fairly large home (two A/C units required) and it is worth the extra $100 to buy these sensors to help regulate temperature in the bedrooms at night since the thermostats are located in common areas or the hallway

Both of my Nest Thermostat are in walkways. WHY! didn't I purchase this guy years ago. This is a must have Sensor if you own a two story house. Just an FYI - buy the 3 pack. You will go back and buy more if you only purchase one.

Useful tool when you have one ac/heating unit with multiple floors. I can now keep the top floor cool and know exactly what the temperature is. One major con is no motion sensor to determine your home. Useful tool if you buy into the nest ecosystem. Is it worth the money? I would say yes but it does have some caveats.

I own a echobee and the nest. I much prefer the nest over the nest because it is much more user friendly. The nest is much more intuitive and has more options. Plus, it looks better.

We put this sensor in our bedroom upstairs and it makes a huge difference at night. The AC unit is in the basement, and the thermostat is on the first floor, so it’s always much warmer upstairs in summer. It’s a must-have!

Great addition to nest thermostat. Tracking the temp on other rooms is easy and will reduce the electric build. Rasy to install. Highly recommended

    Works with your nest

I needed to cool and heat a room that was warmer in the summertime and cooler in the winter time. The existing location of the thermostat was not good for the room in question. We purchased this device to solve that problem. It does a good job of telling the thermostat that they room needs cooling or heat. My problem is that the nest program for managing the sensor does not have enough granularity for setting the schedule of when to use which sensor, nor do you understand the timeframes that it will switch - the times are morning, afternoon, evening, night. My other issue is that the Nest display will show the temperature at the sensor, but you have no indication that it is coming from the sensor, or what the temperature is at the nest when the sensor is showing.

We moved into a new house and when winter came the room we use most often was chilly despite the nest being set to the mid 70s. Now we can set the temperature based on the room without the guess work of temperature differences.

This is a no frills product that is easy to set up and forget. Adds the ability to prioritize the thermostat or sensor when using HVAC. At night we make sure the baby's room is cool, during the day we revert to temperature sensing at the thermostat.

Pretentious sensor w/ greater data point

First, the context of house has two controlling levels, one per level. Purchased on curiosity how it would work with Nest Thermostats. Placed it in different rooms on downstair and upstair. Each level has its own thermostat and assigned respectively per floor. First installing and setting up have to say is straight forward. Place in any desired spot without having to use nails or so, and link through the application Nest. Now in use perspective, really can't tell how the thermostat self adjust depending on the temperature from each room and manage each room. Secondly it doesn't seem to have sense if there is activity in the room to increase/decrease temperature. Technically from system perspective, I imagine these sensors does aggregation of data to the main which is the Nest Thermostat, however, the action part come limited.

Our main thermostat wasn't heating or cooling our bedroom correctly due to the sun shining on it. We got the new Nest thermostat and put the remote sensor in our bedroom - and we are so happy with the way it works.

This device along with Nest thermostat allowed me to automatically change the temp settings at night to what it was in our bedroom then in the morning switched back to temp downstairs as the setting. Very easy to use and setup.

Works as described. The only thing I don't kin like is that the Google home app does not see the temperature sensors. You have to use the actual nest app to see the temperature sensors.
