Just make sure to get the higher model Nest, otherwise you won't be able to pair them out. You can set this sensor as the main temperature parameter so your HVAC will turn on/off based on its reading.

Finally! I get this 3 pack of thermostats and BAM! Now I know what the temps are. The cost is why I give 4 stars.

Disconnects from Thermostat Often

Some rooms are colder than others so the idea was to utilize the sensor in the colder room to tell thermostat keep heating til that specific room hit the targeted temp. This can be set in the Nest App. Works great when it works but some sensors go offline, maybe due to distance from the thermostat. Hopefully Google/Nest can fix this connectivity issue..
